This review is from: Perils of the port of New York;: Maritime disasters from Sandy Hook to Execution Rocks (Hardcover)
There are few if any books written on the fishing grounds of the NY BIGHT region. Jean Rattray book is considered by those interested in the fishing industry and some of the maritime events surrounding NY waters from the late 19th century, as the 'go-to' source to read. I cannot point to any other book that is as detailed in recounting the historical events surrounding this genre.
