5.0 out of 5 stars The best of all books on women's health after age 35!
This is a must-have book for all women interpretting health changes post 35! It is thorough, common sense, warmly written and comprehensive! The authors summarize extensive research findings. This enables readers to make educated choices in all areas of their changing health. What a find! What a buy! I've read them all and only a few books deliver what women need...

2.0 out of 5 stars Good information - but watch out for the bad
I found most of the information OK. But there was stuff in this book that made me wary. Prozac for PMS? Hysterectomy good idea for fibroids? Who would seriously consider these options? Natural progesterone and studies on it dismissed in one paragraph. These things left me rather unimpressed. I would not rely on this book as my main source of information.

This book is outstanding! I recommend Perimenopause to my own doctors, women's clinics and bought a dozen copies for my friends!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great framework for making life choices - bravo!, February 5, 1998
By
A comprehensive guide to all the issues forty-something women face, and well-balanced recommendations on how to make choices. I especially liked how broad the book is, bringing in solutions not only from Western medicine, but also from Eastern arenas. The chapter on Gynecologic Surgery is a must read for all women in this age group. Great job, well written, wish the authors could be my doctors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Basic Information, November 10, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Perimenopause: Changes in Women's Health After 35, 2nd Edition (Paperback)
I found this book to offer a very sound, common-sense approach to the perimenopausal years. Covering a variety of topics from symptoms to diet to health risks and prevention, it's a wonderful base for all of my other reading on this very well-published but not always well-written topic.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm not crazy!, April 2, 2011
This review is from: Perimenopause: Changes in Women's Health After 35, 2nd Edition (Paperback)
This is a very informational book. I knew some of side effects I was having were normal. But, it turns out that I'm not crazy, forgetful, pre-alzheimers, asseuxual or any number of unexplainable horrors of my 40's. It's all just peri-menopause!! Thanks for a great book, and a chapter for my husband to understand the all night "blanket dance".

This is a very honest comprehensive book on perimenopause, and certainly answered almost all of the questions I had! I'm going to get a copy for my gynecologist!! :)
