Perimeter Wifi dog fence,
By
This review is from: Perimeter® Wire - Free Wifi Dog Fence (Misc.)
I was really leary about buying this fence after reading the reviews, but I have had no problems with it. I have a metal garage door and cars in the driveway and they don't cause any problems. I put the base on top of the fridge so it would be up high. It only took 2 days to train our German shorthaired pointer. She is pretty hard headed and never has left, my only concern is what she will do if a rabbit runs out from under our storage shed. Hopefully she won't take off...I have the collar set on 4. I chose this system over the petsafe because it was recommended for dogs over 60 pounds.
The system kept our dog in the yard even when the rabbit from under our shed took off!

Signal is lost on at least one side of the house no matter where the base is located.,

This review is from: Perimeter® Wire - Free Wifi Dog Fence (Misc.)
We recently received the Perimeter Wire - Free Wifi Dog Fence and discovered that there are coverage holes on two sides of our house where signal is lost. We cannot provide our dog with enough outdoor space (we're limited to under 60 feet) without losing reception (which prevents the product from working). We might try a competing product as we'd prefer a wireless fence system.

Does not work as advertised,
By
This review is from: Perimeter® Wire - Free Wifi Dog Fence (Misc.)
I have tried repeatedly to make this work using many different locations. Have talked with their reps several times and they all say that there is interference so that there are areas that it will not cover. Station goes off when the collar is off the dog and within 10ft of the base station. The receiver is not accurate so that in one spot where we set the perimeter one day it will go off 10 ft before the flag. The next time it will not go off until 25ft past the flag. Also, once it goes off and the dog moves back inside the perimeter it continues to beep. Impossible to train a dog under these conditions. If you have a garage with a metal door or a car in it the WiFi will not pass and the signal will be lost
Save your money. Does not work.
