This album will probably always go down as my favorite album of all time. I could listen to it from start to finish and not get tired of it. Periphery really stepped up on this album and clearly the most improved member goes to Spencer on this one. His vocals have Improved ridiculously since the first album and even the Icarus EP. The addition of Mark Holcomb Is also definitely noticed in some of the songs with his signature style riffing and the incorporation of his huge chords that he uses frequently. Definitely a welcomed change, also with Nolly's bassing much more present in this album. I am anxiously awaiting the release of juggernaut.

Periphery's self-titled album was a very cold and mechanical-sounding album, but it was an undeniable game changer in the metal scene. With Periphery II, the band broadens its horizons, and it truly feels like a band effort. The songs are vastly different from one another; in fact, at first I didn't like the album as much as I do now because it is so different from their first album, yet they are all unabashedly Periphery songs. I stopped listening to it from a "djent" perspective, so to speak, and started to listen to it as a progressive metal album, and it naturally grew on me. Highly recommended for fans of Dream Theater, Protest the Hero, Tesseract, After the Burial, and Textures.

Love this album! Sounds great to! Also had a great surprise, was expecting plain black vinyl but instead got lime green and yellow records! Highly recommend this one.

Received this vinyl and was surprised it was the rarer green pressing. YMMV but that was the case with me. A must have for any vinylhead with a taste for djent.
