Taipei on an indexed street plan accompanied by overview maps of Greater Taipei and the wider Taipei area, and a plan of Taipei's Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT) routes. Central Taipei is shown on one side of the map at 1:20,000. The street plan is annotated with places of interest, hotels, restaurants, shopping, parks, etc. The main text is in English, but bridges, main thoroughfares and districts appear with their equivalents in Chinese script. The plan extends to cover Taipei (Songshan) domestic airport. The map indicates rail lines and stations, and a plan of the MRT metro and light rail network is included. The index lists streets, buildings, districts and parks. For a more general overview, there is plan of Greater Taipei at 1:45,000, indicating main transport arteries and names of districts and neighbourhoods, many with equivalents in Chinese script. This shows bold relief shading for the outskirts of the city, land use and selected sites of interest. A road map of the wider Taipei area at 1:350,000 shows approaches to Taipei from the directions of Hsinchu City, Yilan City and Keelung City.

This map is great! Not only is it clear and easy to read, but is written in English AND Chinese, so you can get help from native speakers when necessary! But above all that, it maps out hotels, restaurants, shops (mostly bilingually as well) etc making it a whole lot easier to plan your day. And joy of joys, it has the MRT subway marked as well.The only possible thing that I could've wished for would be buslines, but I think that would made the map to 'busy' perhaps
