After my logitech mx 550 broke I wanted to get a replacement but didn't want to spend a lot of money. This is a very high end feeling mouse with some excellent features for $30. I like a heavy mouse, this one comes with weights. I have large wide hands, this mouse feels great. The braided cord is very nice. There is a buttons on the mouse to scroll through dpi level and led color. I think there are three colors. While choosing colors may be frivolous, those who like all their fancy lights to match can do this with the mouse. I don't see how Perixx pulled off producing this mouse for such a low price but I am glad they did. I honestly don't miss my Logitech and furthermore, I like this one more. Highly recommend this mouse to anyone regardless of budget or not.

A bit of system disclosure - I'm running early 2012 MacBook Pro with Mavericks. This mouse was plug-and-play on OS X though, so fellow Mac users looking for a gaming mouse should have no problems. I can't say anything about Windows, but it did work-plug and-play on my Raspberry Pi though so I'm assuming it's extremely flexible. I had no issues mapping buttons either. It comes with a mini-CD driver disk for Windows XP/Vista/7/8 that looks like it gives some added functionality for Win users. If you've got a side-loading drive (the one that "sucks" the disk in) this will most likely not work unless it takes mini-CDs similar to the way the Wii takes Gamecube disks.

This mouse is very stylish -- I love how the wheel floats in between the buttons. It's very comfortable, it's form fitting, and I will say that people with shorter fingers won't have trouble "clawing" it. Each L/R mouse button can actually still respond all the way up to the front of the DPI Up/Down adjustment buttons (below mouse wheel). The braided cord is great looking. I will say that due to the matte coating on the top of the mouse, it's not too good of an idea to play with greasy hands (if you're a chip eater), but it looks like minor stains can get rubbed out with a cotton t-shirt. One of the parts I didn't expect is the color changing LED. I'm not sure why it changes or with what input, but it changes. This may have a controller on the Windows disk (which I can't input with my side-loading MacBook SuperDrive). It actually started out red when I plugged it in which is why I'm wondering.

Functionally, the mouse works great. I use it for both CAD work and gaming. I prefer a very heavy mouse, and with all the weights loaded up it delivers. It's well balanced too.

I love the extra buttons that I can program in place of keyboard keys. It is just a little large for my hand but that is a personal issue. The mouse is an excellent choice, especially for the price. You can't go wrong with this one.Buy it. You won't be sorry.

I had to de-tune the sensitivity to make it work for drafting. I like everything about it and programmed a few of the buttons to open file explorer etc. I don't do gaming, so no comment for that purpose.

I have used this mouse for about 3 weeks now, and all I can say is that for the price, there's just nothing better.
Pros:
-Ergonomic, hand fits perfectly.
-Very good dpi adjustments and buttons are firm and sturdy.
-Color variety is very good, although they could improve the software to support more colors.
-Mouse movement is precise, very smooth.
-The optional weights make the mouse feel much better for my preference.

Cons:
-The only con I could find is that the rubberish coating feels like it won't last long. It has some finger stains on it which don't seem to come out just by wiping it with a soft cloth.

Absolutely love the "short throw" of the omrom switches used in the Perixx mice. They seem to be pretty rugged as I've slammed it down very hard, many times, while "enduring" (playing doesn't quite fit) BF4 with friends. The thumb buttons are well placed and easily set for different functions. The low price sets this mouse clearly on top of the "Best Buy" category.
