Customer Reviews

The shape of this mouse fits my hand perfectly and it feels so smooth.

Also now seeing these SAME mice, being sold with other brand names on them that are NOT Perixx, makes me wonder if that is true.

Overall well worth the money and should definitely be on your list if you're looking for new gaming mouse.

EDIT: After 8 months of casual usage, the mouse has begun to randomly disconnect from the computer (and requires a manual disconnect/reconnect to reconnect). There is no visible fraying in the wires, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I have contacted Perixx about this and will see what they can do(and update my review accordingly).

EDIT 2: Perixx didn't respond. Meanwhile the mouse sensor has completely given out; only the clickers work but the pointer doesn't move so the mouse is useless. I've only used this mouse casually so I guess this mouse has durability issues. Perhaps other reviewers will find similar issues soon (I was the first one to review). I'm deducting 3 stars.

PROS:
Appearance:
-The general appearance of the mouse itself is very good; it definitely looks quality. The LED lights look pretty awesome. The 3D "bumpy" paint on the mouse is well done and doesn't look cheap at all. It's so realistic that when I opened the box and exposed the mouse my brother said "it has a defect, they made it bumpy."
-The box is nice, has a magnetic cover in front which one can lift to see the mouse
-The metallic weights and box also look nice, although I won't be seeing much of them
-The wire is braided black and blue and goes well with the blue dpi lights

Functionality:
-Tracking is excellent and works well on all surfaces I tried (including carpet/rug)
-The pads/feet on the mouse are smooth and result in little friction when using the mouse
-Ergonomics are pretty good; it is not evident from the pictures but the sides of the mouse are coated with a matte-like finish--not quite rubber, but still enough for a decent grip when using the mouse.

This mouse fits really well with my hand and grip. I like the button placements. My only major gripe, is it tracks movement even when its lifted off the mousepad more than a 1/2 inch. I play with fairly low sensitivity so I pickup and move the mouse some for larger movements and it is tracking my backswipe unless I excessively lift it off the mat.

Update: I contacted perixx and they said would pass this info along to their design team to improve it. I ended up returning this mouse and buying a Razer Deathadder which has a setting for mouse lift right in the software. Really like it so far.

Update 2: Perixx responded saying their future mice will have a 2mm liftoff.

Hello, I have used the Perixx MX-2000 and will provide you with the info you need to help make your decision

1. Although it was a headache to install, it did install under Windows 8.1 64 bit OS
If got via download, a. extract download of driver, make sure you run as administrator, and DO reboot before loading software or device will NOT be found

2. This mouse has in my opinion many design flaws...
Perixx was the first company ever to realize more programmable thumb buttons are needed and amazed us with the MX 2000
but this one which appears to be a better solution is only a better in a couple ways and worse in others.

They state this product is made in Germany, after now seeing the software which has all the info that this was created in Asia by having names of Chinese? people all over the software. Also now seeing these SAME mice, being sold with other brand names on them that are NOT Perixx, makes me wonder if that is true. Or maybe Perixx is disappearing.

Perixx has NO support.. which might not matter for a mouse until you have OS problems, which I did on the 2000 which I could not get programmable software to work on windows 8.. this one did after trouble.. but food for thought.. no support

The MX-2000 has the sideways middle mouse buttons (scroll left/right) and this MX-3000 model one only has ONE (to the right) but its worse yet. This button only triggers MIDDLE MOUSE the same as the MIDDLE MOUSE (WHAT!?!) Which means there is no side button and it is NOT PROGRAMMABLE.. (WHY?!?!)

The DPI buttons are programmable. The 3 buttons that are normal back/forward ARE programmable.

In Perixx deface this is a good mouse for regulate user's that don't need mouse precesion at all times and it feels good and comfortable to work with.

I used it now for 3 week's wanted to write a professional review for this mouse and not rage.
Overview:
Comfortable on the hand (use it up to 16 hours a day) played verity of games with it RPG\RTS\FPS, and I would say as a mouse for $30 its a good one but could of been so much better with just software tweak's

A bug in the mouse annoys me sometime's the mouse stop working and I need to get up and change the USB I use it with (happened once every 3 days)
Also found a big problem with tracking sometimes it losses tracking for a half a second and as I play DAYZ that half second can be my last if I am in an engagement after gearing up for 2 hours.

The 30G system is horrible and if you use it and move your mouse to fast it cant track for s*** so disable it and better use DPI change when you need to.

The software lack's alot of features that should be like you can set 6 diffrante DPI and change them on the FLY but the program not only not show's you what is your current DPI it also don't let you set it all 6 at once and its weird as hell.
and the ability to program all the key's should be an apstion just if you playing a game that your DPI dont need to change it gives you 2 extra keys is amazing.

Perixx need to hire a serious software build and this mouse will be a good gaming mouse for $30 right now its just a mouse with nice STAT that you can look but not much useful in the real world.
