I just recently purchased these for my granddaughter. My daughter had such great fun with these and made so many different items (Shows you how long they have been around). She was entertained for a LONG time. They are a quality product that do require adult supervision when ironing to meld together. You can make magnets, pins, barretts, and the kids can make gifts for others. Can you tell, I just love these?

My 6 year old daughter received this bucket in her easter basket and has been a great hit ever since. Promotes fine motor skills, creativity, and fun. This is a starter kit and add ons will be asked for!

When I bought this product, I more or less expected the basic colors, but a lot of them, and I was OK with this. However this was not the case; this bucket not only comes with the basic colors in abundance, but also a great deal of the shades between them! Great for making something a little more intricate like the jewelry I make.
It also comes with some nice pegboards in different shapes that I can surely put to use. Very good deal, especially for the price -- in the store a bucket like this would run $20.

I wish I'd discovered these sooner! My two boys normally cannot sit still for more than 5 minutes at a time. My 5yo made his first perler bead design all by himself and was still - and quiet! - for at least 20 minutes. He is now experimenting with patterns and sequences, which is great practice for maths work at school. My nearly 3yo is also keen but he's definitely too young for them given how tiny the beads are. Absolutely brilliant for fine motor skill development. I would recommend these without hesitation. Great for birthday presents!

This bucket of beads is great! Comes with clear beads which I thought was interesting. Contains every color including black and white. I bought an extra bag of 1,000 of black and white since those colors get used up quick. Would recommend for anyone, though it should be for children who are about 7 years old. Not sure if a child who is 5 can carefully place the tiny beads into the pegboard. Overall it is a great product for kids and older to enjoy.

I recently purchesed this item for my son's birthday and he loved it! He is very artistic, and it is a great way for him to express his artistic skills. We both tried it together and we had so much fun. It sticks very well and it is very durable. But make sure you have an adult to iron the beaded pattern, If you want ideas for patterns I suggest to go on the internet or buy book for perler beads on amazon.
