Diatomaceous earth kills bugs mechanically by destroying the outer membranes of THE insect, thus causing them to dry out. The Pyrethrin paralyzes them. Both products are natural and are harmless, except to FISH. This worked on a centipede problem I had. GOOD FOR FLEAS!
