I bought two of these DC permanent magnet motors and they have been working great on my pedal power bike generators. They have large magnets inside that helped me generator over 30V DC when driving a light load. The mounting holes are are placed on the motor such that it is easy to mount it from below the motor, or from the side of the motor.

I used this product as part of a pedal-a-watt display with a light panel at a regional renewable energy fair and it was the hit of the fair. The generator is well-made and easy to install on the separate bracket. I highly recommend it for the pedal-a-watt set up.
