I used a similar product several years ago that I bought in the auto dept. of K-mart and it worked very very well. This stuff is not the same at all. For one thing, it never hardened, ran all down the glass, and certainly did not fix the ding in the windshield. I bought two of these and they both did the same thing.....believe me, I followed the directions to the letter.

Don't waste a penny on this crap.

I just used this product. A small rock hit my windshield, and created about an 1/8" hole/crack, and was very noticeable while driving, it was in the line of sight. The product actually worked pretty good, it is definitely made an improvement.

Pros:
--Made an improvement.
--After you are done, it looks good, and you are sort of happy if you had the patience to mess with this product and stuff.
--The product really does the work for you; all you do is leave the syringe there in the holder for about 45 minutes. I would say the major time using this product, goes w/ the cleanup (scraping the resin/glue off your windshield), and trying to fully understand the instructions.

Cons:
--Would not use this product in DIRECT SUNLIGHT, or you are asking for trouble, because everything will dry so fast, just wouldn't do it - use it on a HAZY DAY or in the SHADE ONLY.
--Make sure you have patience and a loooot of time.
--Took me a little over 2 hours to do, you need a lot of patience.
--The directions were a bit confusing, had to read them slowly and more than a couple of times.
--The resin ran all the way down the windshield, so after i was done, had to take a steak knife and sloooowly scrape off the windshield, that actually took most of the time, like 35-40 minutes so i wouldn't scratch the windshield.
--The 'sealer stuff' that seated the plunger/syringe, was pain to remove. it also left a bunch of glue/residue behind. I was sort of in a panic, but that was no problem, i got that off of my window w/ Fantastic cleaner and a sock, which was a pain, and took a lot of patience.

This kit does not work. The resin does not penetrate into cracks or nicks. The resin will come out of the sides and get all over the windshield. It seeps under the adhesive but doesn't go into the crack. There is insufficient resin- and it all winds up everywhere but inside of repair. I followed the instructions to the letter- this kit does not work. You can't get a seal over the repair with the tools provided and the resin does not penetrate into the damaged area, it all comes out the sides because there is no seal. In order for this to work, you would need to have a good seal over the ding or crack, and the materials in this kit do not provide that. You'd probably need to be able to open the crack as well- nothing in the kit allows you to do that. Don't buy this kit, I tried it twice, I followed the instructions, and have a pretty good understanding as to exactly why this product does not work.

Wow! I almost did not try this product after reading all of the BAD reviews. I am SO glad that I gave it a try. I can only imagine that the other reviewers did not read instructions, OR maybe tried the repair on a cold day or who knows.
Took less than 1 hour, not including the hour curing time (which was unattended).

I had a 1/4 inch circular ding in my windshield. Most of the damaged glass was on the inside of the circle. There was a small pinhole in the window and no glass underneath. I was concerned about getting the compound through it!

But no. real simple.

#1 - WASH THE AREA WITH THE ALOCOHOL SWAB. You MUST do this step for the adhesive circle to stick (thus not allowing the compound to seep out).

#2 - Remove the backing and stick it on the winshield with the damaged area in the middle. RUB RUB RUB to make sure there are no air bubbles.

#3 - Remove the top backing off and stick on the base. Again, RUB RUB RUB, you need a good seal.

#4 - Open the compound tube and squeeze it in.

#5 - stick the syringe in the hole in the upmost position.

#6 - Pull the syring plunger and lock it to create and keep suction.

#7 - after 10 minutes, remove the syringe to add air, and put it back itn this time PUSH the plunger DOWN, forcing air into the break! Wait 20 minutes.

#8 - remove everything, add a drop of compound and smooth on the curing strip... wait 10 -60 minutes depending on whether its sunny or not.

Tada - all done. There was some seepage on the first part, but I had alcohol and cottonballs ready to wipe up immediately so NO mess.

I did not use a hair dryer but my winshield was warm from having driven around earlier in the day.

Bullseye Winshield Repair is worthless. It didn't repair anything. In fact by the time I was finished wasting near an hour of my life I was left with a bigger problem than I started with.

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. I had a star crack smaller than a dime when I started. I followed all the instructions thoroughly. I even enjoyed watching the product fizz and bubble for a couple minutes from inside the car during the process.

After it was all complete and it came time to remove the adhesive I was shocked to find the once small star crack had spread to over two inches which will now most likely cause me to replace my entire windshield. I will admit it worked on a small fraction of the crack but the problem it caused was far worse. I can't see where they come off stating the product will leave a crack virtually undetectable.

If I would have read all the reveiws on this product before going to the local automotive store I would have never purchased this product to begin with.

My loss and hopefully your gain if you read this reveiw.
