Disney's Pop/R&B princess has returned, and she is still No Ordinary Girl. Her debut album is one of my favourites and i have few faves, But it has now been replaced by the sensational Permission To Fly!
1. One Love- An awesome summer song, with an catchy Dancey/Reggae touch.

2. My Shoes- The albums opening R&B track, heavy violins drive this amazingly catchy potential hit.

3. In Love For A Day- I bet when u see this title u think 'Great, a Ballad already' wrong, the album opens with a quick piano intro, and then half way through the first verse, the song becomes upbeat and in the latter part, it turns almost Electro/R&B with a catchy lyric of 'If ya hear me, holler'.

4. Boyfriend- Now this is what i'm talkin about, Jordan has turned to Middle-Eastern music to drive this R&B heavy track, catchy, sassy, and single potential.

5. Unconditional- A sweet and catchy (Almost Ballad) song where Jordan expresses her faith.

6. I'm Gone- Probably the weakest track, the beat is catchy, but the
lyrics are quite simple. But still pretty gd.

7. Simple Things- Old school/JoJo style R&B, From the first lyric and beat u can immediately say that JoJo would record something similar to this.

8. Permission To Fly- The title track, Very R&B/Dance pop/Electronic, Independant and the kinda song that makes Jordan a role model to girls.

9. The Way You Do The Things You Do- A very daring, sassy and successful cover of The Temptations classic hit.

10. Secrets- Probably the albums stand out track, an amazing Jazzy/Bebop sound where Jordan's voice has been edited to sound very authentic and retro. A track that everybody can lve.

11. I Wanna Go Back- This is a reminiscent of No Ordinary Girl's more Rock influenced sounds, and in this she reminds us of how amazing the album was.

12. Always- The heart-breaking close to the album, that u don't really want to listen to but just can't help it, because so many people can relate to it

Ok, Jordan Pruitt is the MOST talented Disney girl, and I hope she gets AWAY from Disney, if she already isnt. This album is amazing! The best songs are "Permission to Fly", "In Love For a Day", and "My Shoes". I really like the album, but it was SUPOSED to be on i-tunes in AUGUST! It STILL is not there! COME ON I-TUNES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not gong to lie I have been waiting for this album FOREVER!!! It's finally out and it is no disappointment! Jordan is amazing! Her voice is incredible!
1)One Love(15/10)This song is sooo sweet and innocent and it is WAYYY fun!
2)My Shoes(10/10)This is the mac and chees song. This song is probably going to be her second single. It's fun and up beat!
3)In Love For A Day(15/10)I j thought this song was just ok but then I listened to it twice! I LOVE it now. It's so different and original!
4)Boyfriend(10/10)AWESOME!! So catchy it should be illegal!
5)Unconditonal(10/10)Very sweet! This is one of Jordan's best songs vocally. It is wonderful!
6)I'm Gone(9/10)One of the weaker songs, but it is still pretty amazing. It's not to different and doesn't stick out in my mind...
7)Simple Things(12/10)Great!!! I absolutely LOVE the bridge!! She sounds great too!
8)Premission to Fly(12/10)Title track. Original and up beat! Definitely a stand out track!
9)The Way You Do The Things You Do(8/10)Not my favorite. I like it better thwn the original though.
10)Secrets(13/10)WHOA!!! I never thought Jordan would do anything like this song, but now that she has I can't stop listening to it! It is very blusey and jazzy! She took a risk and I LOVE it!!
11)I wanna Go Back(9/10)Good. WHen I first heard it I thought it was pretty much the same as "In Love For A Day", but now I see major differences.
12)Always(9/10)This song is the only ballad. Good way to end the album!!

I think Jordan has matured a lot as an artist! This cd is a step up from her last one and I absolutely loved "No Ordinary Girl"! Buy the album you won't be disappointed!

Jordan has a beautiful voice & sweet lyrics. Some are just fun. Permission to Fly, Simple Things, & In Love For A Day are in my top 3 songs on this CD. It's simply amazing all the way through. She's an underrated artist & a cool role model as well. No matter what song she sings, I'm always singing along.

Jordan is such a great singer and her songs are catchy. This is an amazing CD. Every song is perfect. I definitely recommend this CD to everybody.

Jordan pruitt has done it again & even better. No Ordinary girl was good,but permission to fly was even better. I even have to admit that I kept playing it over & over. Jordan come into the spotlight & show what you got. You're great & you always have permission to fly & you don't need us to tell you that. Love ya! Unconditional, I'm gone, In love for a day & My shoes & of course permission to fly. five stars!

This girl has a very appealing voice but is limited by the material. Would love to hear more of a folk or jazz vibe from her.

If you thought Jordan Pruitt's debut album was good, then listen to her sophomore album, "Permission to Fly" which shows a more completely soulful and different side of Jordan that's absolutely astounding. Here is my review on her excellent sophomore effort.

1.) One Love: Catchy song with a mixture of reggae and pop music.
2.) My Shoes: Upbeat, soulful song that shows off Jordan's vocals very well.
3.) In Love For a Day: Great pop\R&B song that has a catchy melody and it's great to listen to.
4.) Boyfriend: Another upbeat pop\R&B song with a catchy melody.
5.) Unconditional: Sweet, upbeat pop ballad
6.) I'm Gone: Catchy upbeat song that Jordan sings with attitude and does it well.
7.) Simple Things: Another upbeat pop ballad with a lovely melody that's great to listen to.
8.) Permission to Fly: Amazing, upbeat pop song that once again Jordan sings with soul and attitude.
9.) The Way You Do the Things You Do: Jordan makes this remake of the classic Temptations' song amazing and soulful.
10.) Secrets: Sweet, catchy song that has a mixture of soul and jazz.
11.) I Wanna Go Back: Catchy pop song that reminds me of something that would've been on her debut album.
12.) Always: Sweet, soulful pop\R&B ballad that ends the album perfectly.

Once again, if you like Jordan Pruitt, this is the album for you!

I have been listening to this album for a very long time and I have to say that I love it. I am 26 and I still listen to "teeny bopper" music within reason and this was an exceptional album.

All in all I love most of this album and it is on repeat for me and I hope her third album is as well put together as this one was. Very talented!

I live all the way in New Zealand and was browsing through amazon for some new artists. I know about most of the pop princesses like miley and taylor because they're on the radio here but I wanted to find out what I was missing out on. Eventually i decided to have a listen tot jordan. Wow, didn't expect that! You see, I'm not a 12 year old girl but I like that kind of fun innocent stuff you can listen to and not feel guilty about bad languge or morals, plus I love creative melodies and bass lines. Jordan has a way of including all of that in her music, carried along by this quirky smooth voice. Over here in New Zealand I doubt anyoen would have heard of jordan so its my little secret and I usually like someones music more before they release heaps of tracks on the radio.

anyway, here is what i think of 'permission to fly'...and warning, i dont give high points away often...

1. one love. probably a 7/10. good morals but a little generic
2. my shoes. 8.5/10. sweet with a beat
3. in love for a day. 9.5. this chorus gets stuck in my head all the time!
4. boyfriend. 9.75. love the beat once it gets started. the start is a bit cheesy
5. unconditional. 6.5/10. the melody just doesnt surprise, a bit too generic.
6. im gone. 8.5/10. i like the heavy beat with such simple chorus
7. simple things. 7/10. reminds me of someone else...
8. permission to fly. 10/10. didnt notice this song as background music but it rocks. love that heavy
base, with the sweet. almost sounds like t.A.t.U to me
9. the way you do the things you do. 7.5/10. this sounds like demi lovato, who i think is pretty decent. but there are better covers.
10. secrets. 9.5/10. very unique and creative. makes me want to dance oldschool
11. i wanna go back. 7/10. hmmm mixed on this one. a little boring but ok
12. always. 8.5/10. a sweet song. nede to be in the right mood to really appreciate it.
