A long time coming,

I first learned about David Holt in the late 90's when he was playing with Storyville. His guitar work blew me away. I made an effort to go see Storyville as often as I could. I was heartbroken when they broke up and had been looking for a solo project from Holt for a very long time. I can definitely say that it was well worth the wait. Storyville fans had the chance to hear Holt sing solo on the Dog Years album on the track Lucky. But now we get a real taste of just what he can do. Don't wait, order this CD. Now I'm just waiting for the next one.

David why have you waited so long? Great sounding project and as usual the superb guitar work. Have had it in my CD and MP3 since purchased. Love it one someone not familiar with David Holt ask, "Who are we listening to?" Keep on rock'n!!

What a great record! After seeing david for years solo, with storyville and the Booze Weasels, I realize what makes him so good. He is perhaps the best rhythm guitar player in town. Sure he plays great lead, but so do alot of guys. But not many could play rhythm like him. His original material is great, mix in a healthy dose of songs by Bill Carter @ Ruth Elsworth, Mark Andes, Spooner Oldham, thats a recipe for a great record. Trust me, buy it!

David Grissom gets raves from guitarists for his work in Storyville and other bands, but this recording shows that David Holt should be equally credited for playing and songwriting chops. Highly recommended.
