This is a great crop for the price!!! I thought it had a leather handle but it is rubber. Obviously it wasn't leather because of the price. Other than that it's great for the price.

I bought this for a Halloween costume and it served the purpose great! It was just as I expected for the cheap price. The handle strap was cut all jagged but I didn't mind that. It was easy to carry around, and made a great whipping noise. It lasted the Halloween party without falling apart and I still have it.

I got this for part of a halloween costume this year. I didn't end up using it much (I did a small bit of whipping), but it began to fall apart even though it was barely used at all. The leather stuff around the majority of it began to come out and the top loop came out so it ended up being just a strip of leather at the top. I fixed it with electrical tape, but a pretty low quality product overall. However, for the price I paid, it made a decent prop with which to walk around. Don't get this if you actually plan on using it at alllll for anything. If you just wanna use it for looks though, it'll do, but you can definitely find better in the same price range.

save your money folks. product came waaaay after the estimated arrival and was all twisted and mangled. handle bends as its swung. really not good for anything unless u need to top off your trashbag

It's cheap, but it's not very high quality. It broke after a few times of using it. It's great for a a costume or something like that, but not a serious sex toy.

For the cost this is a perfect toy for those who want to experiment, or as a prop for a costume of some kind.

This crop is so poorly made, it fell apart as I was removing it from the USPS shipping bag. The leather is rough and scratchy, and the actual leather loop on the action end, is pitifully small; it is not the item shown in the Amazon image.

Not a serious crop if you can tell by the price. You really get what you paid for. I bought this just because I wanted to see for myself how a two dollar crop would hold up - all I can really do with it is use the rough texture that's scratchy against a sub's skin and make them feel uncomfortable. As far as using it for corporal, I'm wary since I don't feel like it can stand up to any heavy abuse. It's definitely more of a 'costume' accessory than a serious tool for playtime.

I ordered two of these crops a month ago because they had good reviews and I needed something to beat people with. Well, first of all. . .they don't look like normal crops. The leather appears to be hand wrapped over some reed like center. . .at any rate, they weren't uniform, had a strange curve, and they were even different lengths from one another. Looks aside (since that wasn't the part that bothered me) . . .

Considering I had these for less than a month, I was very disappointed when the first one killed itself in two weeks and the second one in three. I suppose I used them a bit more heavily than a casual tap here and there, but if you want a crop that will hold up to extensive use, this isn't it. If you're looking for a cheap BDSM style crop? then sure this is a great choice.

I knew I shouldn't expect much with a price tag of $5, this is great if you need something for Halloween but if you're into BDSM and plan to use a crop on a person this is not the one to get. The leather "thong" is far too small to be of any real use although I suppose you could simply strike with the rod similar to a switch or cane. This of course defeats the point of buying a crop as opposed to a switch or cane though.

The handle on mine was braided leather or synthetic leather (I haven't looked too closely)
The shaft feels like a metal spring with a braided nylon cover but it could be fiberglass or anything...
The striking surface (thong for lack of knowledge a better word) is under and inch wide and perhaps 2" long, this is too small and flimsy for me to consider using on a person.

I don't regret my purchase but unless you're insanely accurate and broke there is no reason not to get a more expensive crop.
