It's a shame that the quality is missing on this dvd; I did miss the original release of this, so I had to buy this one. As the other reviewer noted, the cover is pretty cheesy; looks like somebody took a picture off the tv set, and it looks exactly like someone with a bad printer ran off the cover art. The sound is good, but the video is only slightly better than okay. And there are no extras. This is pricey compared to similar products out there, but the big trade-off, is that this is Perry's last Xmas show. His voice held up amazingly well during his long life, and it is nicely displayed here. Despite the negatives, this disc has a lot of charm, and you will find yourself smiling and singing along for much of it. I grew up on Perry Como Xnas specials, and I remember this when it originally came on TV. I wish some of the older ones from the 70's were also available. My own children were very young then, and they used to sit up with me and watch Perry every Xmas. This is a lovely bit of nostalgia, and will put you in the Xmas spirit despite it's drawbacks. If you're sentimental, you may find your eyes getting a bit misty, since dreams have a habit of doing that. Andy Williams' Xmas specials have better cover work, but aren't a lot better on the extras. They are sleek and polished; Perry is a beloved, comfortable old friend and a real pleasure to spend an hour with. Take some time out at Xmas for this grand old gentleman. If you love Perry, and aren't picky, this will be a nice holiday gift to yourself. If you're giving a gift, the recipient might be happier with one of Perry's Xmas CDs, which I highly recommend.

This DVD has nice audio and video quality (no bonus features), but in reality, it is a DVD-r! In essence, a home made release, not professionally mass produced. The artwork for the cover insert is awful, no doubt made on a home computer and printed out with a bad printer. No inlay card. The DVD is obviously home burned as well. So if you missed the "official" VHS/laser disc release of Mr. C's last performance in 1994, this might be worth getting. But $19.98 is a lot to pay for what appears to be a bootleg release.

I give the DVD 2 stars for dear old Perry`s sake. What a shame this was the last Christmas concert and such bad quality. The cover puts you off even before you play the disc. I have to say Perry`s voice held up very well during the recording considering his age one or two slips but lets face it he even made mistakes on his TV shows years earlier this was part of his charm..
I remember with great affection when his shows were first shown over here in the UK on the BBC. It was also the first chance to see some of our rock n roll idols who guested with him. All the singles come to mind Moontalk, Kewpie Doll, Delaware Ect. One of the highlights of our Christmas viewing was his show and wondering where it would be coming from. It was the same with Andy Williams. I don`t care if they are in B/W lets have a release of something decent. And also a DVD release of "Words and Music" starring Perry along side Mickey Rooney and Tom Drake.

I had the VHS of this show & it was just excellent but moved to a DVD player & ordered this.
Sadly it is very poor quality & a big disappointment but better than nothing. The original VHS was great picture & sound. This is very amateur.

Like some others, I was disappointed in the quality of the video. It does appear to look homemade, not professional. The show itself is nice, and brings back memories of Perry, his style, and content of shows. I'm on the fence as to recommending this, being a bit disappointed in the video quality.

There are 2 songs that bring a tear. Oh holy night and you are my hero. This needs to be on Bluray

ln hindsight, l wish l'd have bought the video of this on ebay and run a DVD of this off for myself, because, with the amateurish cover presentation (no longer even the cover depicted above), and picture quality, it's apparent that is all the producer of this product has done. However, l cannot fault the program itself. lt's delightful. Just hoping it comes out "officially" one day.

This CD was a big disappointment--Perry Como after he had lost his ability to sing and to know what was going on. I truly am a fan, but this was just sad.

this was great, he really puts on a good show, good quality dvd. beautiful songs. shipped as promised.

I never received this product. What I did receive was a movie called "Mr. Johnson" although the box and label on the DVD were correct. Bad, Bad, Bad....thank you
