I found this book very helpful. I am a fairly new Persian Cat owner and found that I use this book alot as a reference. As all of us Persian Cat owners know there is alot of maintenance and understanding to take care of these very distinguished felines. Read this book and you will see most all of your curious questions will be answered.

Ms. Mays knows her Persian cats and shows it in this extrodinary work. A great book and a must have for all Persian Cat Owners.

Persian Cats, by Marianne Mays did not live up to my expectations. The photographs are of extremely poor quality, very grainy at best. The lingo throughout the book is British, and somewhat hard to understand for an American. Apparently, the terms for certain cat colors and types are completely different in Britain. This makes it confusing. The spellings are also slightly different. Also the rules and regulations of their cat club are different than here. All in all, I was very disappointed in a confusing, poor quality, poorly written book.
