I had never heard of Persil laundry detergent before I purchased my new Miele washer and dryer. I did read rave reviews on the internet about this stuff.
I was skeptical that just one capful (2 tablespoons) could clean a full load of dirty laundry. Well, Persil not only smells great, it cleans better than anything I have ever used. My white laundry has never been so, well, white before. And Kraft Gel doesn't contain any chlorine bleach. A 1.5 liter bottle will wash around 40 loads or dirty laundry. Label says 20 loads because water in Europe is much harder than in the USA. My only complaint is that Henkel only imports 1.5 liter bottles into the US/Canada. In Europe it is also available in 3.0L, 4.5L and 6.75 liter bottles.

This product from Germany, now 100 years in production and many times improved is amazing. Once you used it you know the superior quality and I've heard people (mostly women) shriek: "you can get PERSIL in the US?". It's THAT good. Check out the history on Henkel's web site (in English - just google Henkel Persil). The product performs as advertised. Grey/white clothes come out beautifully as in cotton T-shirts and briefs. A bit more than pricy on the cost end of things but helpful for occasional use.
