I had never heard of Persil laundry detergent before I purchased my new Miele washer and dryer. I did read rave reviews on the internet about this stuff.

I was skeptical that just one capful (2 tablespoons) could clean a full load of dirty laundry. Well, Persil not only smells great, it cleans better than anything I have ever used. My white laundry has never been so, well, white before. And Kraft Gel doesn't contain any chlorine bleach.

A 1.5 liter bottle will wash around 40 loads or dirty laundry. Label says 20 loads because water in Europe is much harder than in the USA.

My only complaint is that Henkel only imports 1.5 liter bottles into the US/Canada. In Europe it is also available in 3.0L, 4.5L and 6.75 liter bottles.

This product from Germany, now 100 years in production and many times improved is amazing. Once you used it you know the superior quality and I've heard people (mostly women) shriek: "you can get PERSIL in the US?". It's THAT good. The product performs as advertised. Grey/white clothes come out beautifully as in cotton T-shirts and briefs. A bit more than pricy on the cost end of things but helpful for occasional use.

I had used Tide for my whites and didn't think I had any issues. I kept hearing how great Persil is and decided to try it. Well, I have found a whole new shade of white! I no longer pretreat anything or add and extras to my whites! The dose that works best in my HE FL is 2 tbsp which I marked on the measuring cap. At this amount the 18 load bottle is closer to 80! So, on a per load basis it works out to be less expensive than Tide and I don't have to run extra rinses to get it out. My towels are softer due to less buildup I think. After the 2nd bottle I also noticed that my husband's older t-shirts no longer have the weird off color they would get after a while. I'm very happy with this product! Don't let the price scare you!

I got a sample of this detergent from my Miele dealer. It works better than any other product I have used and you use so little of it, it lasts a long time. I use it for all my whites and light colors and use Tide for everything else.

We used this when we lived in England. I was so happy to see I could purchase it in the USA! Great for clothes and has a nice clean smell.

You cant do better than Persil for your wash. You wont need to pre treat or use bleach. It is easy on your cloths and says it is environmentally sound. Only for front loaders.Using a quarter cap it works out to be only a tad more than Tide.Persil Power Gel (Anti-Greying Formula

Tried this horrible stuff. It pours straight through the detergent holder into the washer, so no presoak is possible,all the goo, no matter where you put it goes straight into the first wash cycle. It stinks and so do the clothes when "finished". It is so greasy it spreads over everything like the container, your hands; it is very difficult to remove by rincing, the smell stays for ages. Ugh!
