I have all 3 of these cds and they are really good. the sound is great and tommy makem is really good. if like the clancy brothers and tommy makem, you wil like this cd.

What a wonderful find! Song's range in feel from the comically absurd to the tragic. I especially liked the live numbers....those guys could certainly play to a crowd! Personal favorites: "The Jolly Tinker", "The Old Orange Flute", "Mr. Moses Ri-Tooral-I-Ay"(a case of mistaken identity. Hebrew may look like Gaelic to the uninitiated), "Peggy Gordon", "William Bloat(a black comedic advertisement for Belfast linen!), "The Juice of the Barley", and "Master McGrath". I highly recommend this boxed set to any Irish music fan. Heck, I recommend it to ANY music fan! Slainte! |
