Screwball musical starring Ginger Rogers, December 23, 2008
This review is from: In Person [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Fresh off her 1935 triumph with Fred Astaire in TOP HAT (
VHS edition) (
DVD edition), Ginger Rogers had star billing for IN PERSON. She plays here an actress who suffers from agoraphobia after a nervous breakdown. Using false buckteeth and eyeglasses to disguise her notoriety, Ginger heads off to the mountains with a businessman she's just met (George Brent). A fine little musical screwball comedy, with a few songs by Oscar Levant and Dorothy Fields and dances choreographed by Hermes Pan.
As of 1/09, IN PERSON was not available on DVD.
