The Bible of Personal Finance Textbooks,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Personal Finance Integrated (7th Edition) (Perfect Paperback)
This is a very comprehensive ( and expensive) textbook that we used on the introductory course at Florida State University's Certified Financial Planner program. While the price is high, it is less than the cost of one hour with a CPA or 20 minutes with an estate lawyer. You will gain a more-than-basic understanding of finance, time value of money, estate planning, retirement planning, insurance, tax planning and a host of other subjects. If you have a need to know more about finance than the "Dummies" books can provide, this is well worth the money. At least you will know who and what to ask and save yourself many times the purchase price.
There are a lot of poor quality books on this subject. This is NOT one of the bad ones. I would rate it as the best I have seen. Obviously, we had many other courses on each of the topics described above, but this book will let you understand each of these issues enough to get professional help where necessary.
