I had to purchase this book for a university course I once took (several editions earlier). This book is a great resource for taking you through the personal financial planning process. This book may seem a bit intimidating but if you want personal financial success, it is worth going through the book. It will take you step by step on how to achieve your financial success. This is the best textbook I have ever purchased.

I bought this book for a non-credit Financial Planning class at Florida State. I didn't stick with the class, but I'm keeping the book. It seems to cover just about everything anyone except a financial professional could ever need to know about the financial planning process. If there's a downside to the book, it's that it reads like a textbook; HOWEVER, that's what it is. AND, being a GOOD textbook, the writing is clear and understandable.

Anyone who would order this book should know that I received an e-mail today (February 24) from the instructor of the intro class at Florida State, making reference to a ninth edition. The instructor did not specifically mention this book by name. However, since [Amazon.com] is showing the eighth edition as of February 24, it may be safe to assume that this is the book the instructor was referring to.

I find this book well worth the money, especially for young people just starting out, like college grads. This also is great for high schoolers because it teaches basics in checkbook and savings, investing, and other good pointers that many young adults never hear otherwise.

Had notes and little writing in the pages. Used, reasonable price, had a little help with the notes. Pages in great shape.

good book for the money. I dont care if the book is new or in great shape, it has all its pages, not overly highlighted or marked in, and it was shipped very quickly.

This is a great textbook and it has a lot of real-world advice in it that is directly applicable to you now. I had to order this for a class, but I plan on keeping this book for future reference!

I needed this book for my business class and it was $160 new and $90 used at the campus book store. After researching I got the book from Amazon in about a week just in time for my class. The book was in really good shape and I saved a ton of money. I am a very happy customer!!

I got this for a class and really liked it. It is easy to read and has a nice layout. It covers a wide range of topics.

there are a few positives and a few negatives, as im sure you are purchasing this for coursework, you already know that it is over prices as all textbooks and poorly formatted for reference. pay attention to the appendices, they will be important the whole way.
