I am not a Nelson fan, but they hit the mark with this bible. It is a two-tone calfskin that is beautiful! The leather is soft and supple, it is symth sewn, has French paper, and a very nice large print. It is rather thick, around two inches, but it is so soft and supple that I hardly notice--and it is large print after all! There are very minimal references that appear in the text; Messianic prophecies are starred; there are some vocabulary helps in the text of this KJV Bible. It is minimalistic as far as references and helps but major in beauty and readability.

This is a beautiful leather bible. I own several calfskin bibles but this is my first signature series. The print seems even through the whole bible from what I can see so far. I will find out more when I read through this bible this next year. A new bible for a new year! Pros: Good stitching, decent paper, two tone looks good, the binding is a sound smyth sewn binding (nice and tight) Cons: The size is not what is listed I would say it is closer to 2 inches thick (which will get wider as it is used.) I thought this would be all black but it is a brown / black two tone bible. I was going to send it back but it has rapidly grown on me. All my other bibles are black or burgundy. Overall for the price it is a great bible and will eventually wear out and get dirty just like the rest of them. The saying is something like a dirty worn bible makes a clean life? I would recommend this bible.

This is a wonderful Bible. The construction is flawless. Smyth sewn, soft calfskin leather and a font that is very readable. Even the cover is sewn with an offset color thread that makes it even more attractive. The interior of the Bible is also leather and since it is sewn there isn't a drop of glue in this Bible. It will last a lifetime. The two tone is attractive and not garish. It is quite thick but that is an expected trade off for the larger type and doesn't bother me a bit.

Personally I love large print and big Bibles, and this Bible has both of those. Heavier in weight than most Bibles but that is something I also enjoy. The material is beautiful and all details are well designed. This one is a keeper for a long time to come!

Very satisfied with this Bible. It was a gift to commemorate the 65th wedding anniversary of a very special couple in our church.

I had every intent on purchasing this Bible until I saw it first hand at a local Bible store. That two tone leather is definitely a turn off. I'd definitely purchase this Bible if it were offered in Nelson's traditional black calf skin as the rest of Nelson's Signature Series are offered.
