Esoteric...NOT!,
This review is from: Personal Power Through Awareness: A Guidebook for Sensitive People (Book II of the Earth Life Series) (Paperback)
If "Living With Joy" lays the groundwork, painting with broad brush strokes the foundation for "life in the Higher planes", then "Personal Power Through Awareness..." is the firm and distinct swipe of color that fills in the gaps, making the painting come alive and vividly real for even the most casual of observers. In other words, it's PRACTICAL. For example, are you having trouble connecting with some people and can't seem to stop the energy drain with yet others? This books tells you why. Have you ever wondered how you can sense someone's feelings even if they're miles away and/or long gone from your life (or so you thought)? This book tells you how those messages get through and why you can hear them repeatedly. What is Intuition *exactly*? How can I tell what's true Wisdom and what's not? Is telepathy for real or some sci-fi gimmick to make your skin tingle? Why does it seem that some people struggle for everything, while others barely break a sweat as their dreams come true? This book has the answers--and a whole lot more. All sounds too good to be true? Read the book and judge for yourself. In his typical gentle but insistent manner, Orin (through Sanaya) walks you even further along the path of living a life of joy. Not only does he accurately describe the human thought patterns and how we get them, but with incredible compassion and insight, he tells us exactly how to get out of them. That is, if you want to. And if you don't, that's okay, too. The path will be there when you are. Period. It's a fairly short book, full of easy-to-read words that almost anyone can understand and try to follow. Yes, simple words to describe the deepest of truths...but sometimes those are the truest ones of all. Highly recommended.

Step-by-step Guide to Personal Power,
This review is from: Personal Power Through Awareness: A Guidebook for Sensitive People (Book II of the Earth Life Series) (Paperback)
This book takes you by the hand and guides you step-by-step through the process of developing authentic personal power - by accessing love, power and wisdom from deep within you. All genuine power is born out of love. Yet genuine love doesn't mean fulfilling someone's every whim, but knowing when it's the right time to help and when it's the right time to let the other person grow on his own. In other words, yes, you can help others, but you are not meant to live another's life. Each one of us has lessons to learn and to grow and it is through personal application that we develop greater power. This book also teaches you how to find out what you really want, so that you can live your life through to your deeper self - not to chase things in life you were never meant to go after. And many people do that - instead of listening to their own hearts, they try to live someone else's life. The book than teaches you how to create what you desire in your life using energy and consciousness - accessing your inner power and focusing it on your outcome. If you apply what you learn in this book - you will become more empowered, wiser, and happier - and you will be able to be of service to others in a way that is appropriate for you and for them - in a way that will genuinely contribute to mutual growth.

This book changed my life.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Personal Power Through Awareness: A Guidebook for Sensitive People (Book II of the Earth Life Series) (Paperback)
This book helps you understand that life's ups and down are 100% in your control because it is all in how you perceive it. And that you can have enormous power in improving your life and others' by focusing on positive energy, and seeing the positive in the negative. It also helps you see how happiness comes from not allowing others to negatively affect you by recognizing that their actions are often motivated out of fear which should be treated with compassion (love) and not fear back. Read the book and you will see the light.

Must read for "sensitive" people,

This review is from: Personal Power Through Awareness: A Guidebook for Sensitive People (Book II of the Earth Life Series) (Paperback)
This book is fabulous because it helps you to recognize when you are dealing with your own thoughts and feelings and when you are processing something from your environment. Often we go through situations where we are feeling calm, centered and suddenly we walk into work or ride the bus or go into a place with new people and our thoughts start going all over the place. Now we feel unsettled and possibly even angry or depressed.
What this book teaches you is not all of those feelings are coming from you. Perhaps you go to work and your boss has had a very upsetting weekend and even though he doesn't tell you this, you just absorb his energy like a sponge. So YOU start feeling upset or maybe drained when you were feeling fine only an hour before. Orin and Sanaya help you to recognize this and then to clear this energy from your system. A key ingredient to developing personal power is to recognize your own boundaries. If you are not familiar with how to do so, this book has very simple suggestions which help you to re-train your mind. Every suggestion is written in simple, loving, compassionate language which makes it so wonderful because you don't have to try to understand it. Sometimes channeled writings are so technical that they become difficult to read. This is the perfect book for empaths, both young and old, because it helps you to turn your sensitivity into an asset that you can use to develop intuition and greater trust in yourself.

This review is from: Personal Power Through Awareness: A Guidebook for Sensitive People (Book II of the Earth Life Series) (Paperback)
First of all, I would not recommend this book to someone who belives only in the spiritual realm of Jesus. But if you are more open to other spiritual guidances, this book may hold goods for you.
I am a sensitive (hyper-sensitive at times) person and this book has been a new way of coping with this gift/burden. It taught me how to use my God given nature without burning out. When to tune in, when to tune out. Because it is written with ease, it is also easy to read. And unlike some spiritual books that feel either fake or unevolved, this book keeps the somewhat super-natural parts of life "real". The best guidance I've received in my first reading of the book was how to know which parts of my crazy-emotional-self is actually me on a hectic day, with people coming and going in and out of my life. Being sensitive I pick up on other people's energies/emotions a lot. The book suggests that when you wake up in the morning, keep a note of how you feel. Then, later in the day when you feel out of balance, or overwhelmed by other people or circumstances, you remember how you felt in the morning. I used to work in an advertising company, full of stressed out, crazy people. I wish I had this book when I worked there! I picked it up again today for another read. I keep going back to it. It just makes so much sense. Just reading it puts me in a higher realm and helps me focus on my higher path, higher purposes. Well. These are my two cents. Take what resonates with you, and leave the rest. =o) Enjoy your day. Slow & Easy is the way . . .

A practical guidebook for using the energy of the Universe..,
By
This review is from: Personal Power Through Awareness: A Guidebook for Sensitive People (Book II of the Earth Life Series) (Paperback)
I am one of those who believe strongly that what we think and say can have a profound impact on our lives and surroundings. We literally "create our own reality" by our thoughts, words and deeds. This book gives the reader many tools to use to create the reality one wishes for, rather than just swimming through life, tossing and turning with no control over direction.Regardless of whether one believes in spirit guides, the information presented in this book can be used in everyday life. Changing the way one thinks can change one's life. Roman gives a variety of exercises which can be used to sense energy in the home and others, to use one's personal energy to improve oneself, to improve relationships with others, and to lead a clearer, more spiritual life. This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to grow, emotionally and spiritually.

How to hold psychic boundaries and MUCH MORE,

This review is from: Personal Power Through Awareness: A Guidebook for Sensitive People (Book II of the Earth Life Series) (Paperback)
Really this is the first book I have ever seen that addresses the issue of telepathic connection and how we allow it impacts us, either harmfully or in good ways. In my own life I have found myself picking up people's thoughts and feelings but I didn't realize it for a long time because they felt like my own. But over time and many experiences, I finally figured it out. How wonderful to find my situation perfectly described in this book and to get reasonable advice about what to do about it! My tendency to be extremely tired after interactions with other folks is explained too, and clear advice given. What a Godsend!
Such energy drainage in my case is a form of psychic codependence (my term) where I am not focusing on my own life (as explained in the book), but am taking responsability for others' lives. This is classic codependent behavior, but it is in the psychic realm! What an AHA! This I can do something about! With simple mental correction I immediately have a relief-giving energy shift which is quite amazing. Much of the advice in this book is solid information on avoiding codependent pitfalls though the word codependent is never used in this book. There is a lot of wonderful information in this book. Simple exercises are given to practice managing your thoughts, and training your mind to choose higher energy patterns. When learned these protective and beneficial habits are good for everyone around you and especially those people you are really connected with. You are urged to take a daily self-inventory of your feelings to help learn to sort out your own feelings from those with whom you are in contact, so you can begin to really know when you are picking things up from others and do something about it. The ways telepathy works, (under what condtions) thoughts and feelings are transmitted was a bit of a surprise to me, not at all what I would have guessed. It really helps you to stop being a loose cannon, sending when you don't intend to and receiving when you'd rather not. Ultimately we must take responsibility for our own thoughts and energy practices and stop being the victims of the vibes that are always around us. This book helps us to "grow up" energetically and accept our place in making our own lives (and through our influence, the world) better and happier. I have my work cut out for me but now I have a real plan of action. Thank you Sanaya! Your books are balm on a hurting world.

For the Person We Know the Least - Ourselves,
By John P. Morgan "Light Coach" (Beautiful San Dimas, CA) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Personal Power Through Awareness: A Guidebook for Sensitive People (Book II of the Earth Life Series) (Paperback)
Most of us don't really know we are. Oh, sure we may have ideas about who we are and who we might be, but even those ideas aren't really original. Most of our ideas...most of our beliefs come from others who we felt knew us better than we knew ourselves. Most of our beliefs about ourselves and about the world we live in are firmly established in our minds by the time we are six years old. Six years old! No wonder this world is such a mess. Most of us are really unconscious of what we believe and why we believe it and yet it is those ideas that shape our reality.
There is "no" reality outside of ourselves. As Henry David Thoreau once said, "We do not see things as they really are, we see things as we are." The reason why we have depressions, recessions, wars, hunger, poverty, etc. is because individually as well as collectively we "think" these things into being. Not consciously, mind you, but unconsciously. We have depressions because there are enough people in the world today believe in lack and limitation; that there is not enough to go around. We have wars because individually we have wars with ourselves; we hate ourselves, we fight with ourselves, and then we project this hating and this fighting onto other people. This sounds overly simplified, but really, really think about it. If you truly liked yourself and appreciated yourself, would you have any need to find fault in another? Now multiply this by 60,000,000,000. If 60,000,000,000 people genuinely liked themselves and appreciated themselves what would they have to gain by trying to hurting another human being. We like to say that it's "those other people" that create wars and mass destruction because it's hard taking responsibility and as hard as taking responsibility actually is, it's even harder taking conscious responsibility for your life. When we truly examine our beliefs and why we believe them we begin to see that most of those beliefs have absolutely no basis in reality. It's something we just accepted. I had a second grade teacher that told me to my face that I belonged in a "slow learners program". Can you imagine how devastated I was? For years...and I'm talking years...I thought I was slow...I thought I was stupid...I thought I didn't have the intellectual capacity to really amount to anything in this world. There was a point in my life where I was so down on myself, so disgusted with myself, so dissappointed with myself that I wanted to kill myself and end it all and I actually tried. Of course I obviously failed and when I did botch the attempt all I could say was, "...and yet another failure..." but something was beginning to happen within me after that suicide attempt. It began to slowly dawn on me that it's not that I really wanted to die, I wanted the old and limiting thoughts about myself to die. That was a major realization. This book was like a major Godsend to me. I began to truly see how each one of us has a Higher Self. No matter what you may believe, you have a Higher self who knows you more than you know yourself and the only reason you haven't yet made contact with this Higher Self is because your mental and emotional and spiritual clutter are obstructing It from coming through. You do not have to clear away all of your crap to experience the Higher Self. All you have to do is be willing enough to make a little pathway in the midst of all that debris and your Higher Self will joyfully come forth. Changing our beliefs and keeping those beliefs changed is very hard work, but it's good work. I won't kid you, the work never gets completely done, but it does get easier and easier because once you begin to really like yourself and accept yourself and trust yourself, the universe begins to unfold in beautiful ways. It's almost like a conspiracy that is FOR YOU and not against you. Yeah, you'll still attract some crud balls along the way, but it's yet another opportunity to experience your Higher Self. We deserve a world that's peaceful, abundant, loving, and filled with opportunities for EVERYONE. It all starts with us. As Ghandi said, "We must be the change we wish to see in the world..." Peace and Blessings.
