Book Description

September 4, 2007
There’s just one accessory Annie Valentine can’t find — the perfect man!

Meet Annie Valentine: stylish, savvy, a multi-tasker extraordinaire.

As a personal shopper in a fancy London fashion store, Annie can re-style and re-invent her clients from head to toe. In fact, this super-skilled dresser can be relied on to solve everyone’s problems . . . except her own.
Although she’s a busy single mum to stroppy teen Lana, and painfully shy Owen, there’s a gap in Annie’s wardrobe — sorry, life — for a new man. But finding the perfect partner is turning out to be so much trickier than finding the perfect pair of shoes.

Can she source a genuine classic? A life-long investment? Or will she end up with a mistake from the sale rack who’ll have to be returned?

Or maybe, just maybe, there’ll be someone new this season who could be the one…

4.0 out of 5 stars A cute summer time read, August 20, 2011

This review is from: The Personal Shopper (Paperback)
Annie Valentine is personal shopper at the "The Store" on of London biggest fashion spots. And when she not trying to help her customer re-invent themshelves, is dealing with her two teenage children Lana and Owen, trying move up the London property ladder, and making sure that the check to the kids school does not bounce. But the one thing that Annie is missing is man for herself. But after a few failed dates it seem that Gray may be the one. But Annie soon finds out that just because someone dresses right that he the right man for her.

I have to admit that "The Personal Shopper" by Carmen Reid sat unread on my bookcase since it came out in 2007. But after some guilt and a vow to read the books that I had. I have say that I am sorry that this book sat for so long. "The Personal Shopper" is a great book for the summer time beach read. The characters were interesting and it was able to hold my attention. I know that once I get some more of the unread books finished I will be ordering the other in this cute series.
