Editorial Reviews

Named one of the five best workout DVDs of 2010 on Self.com

Television star Jackie Warner is known for sculpting some of the best bodies. Her renowned workouts command up to $400 per hour. Now you can experience Jackie’s personal training at home with Xtreme TimeSaver Training.

You don’t need hours in the gym to get the body you’ve always wanted. Jackie has designed a highly-effective, complete head-to-toe circuit workout that’s just 30 minutes. Wondering how that’s possible? By using compound moves to train multiple muscle groups at one time, Jackie has cut your workout time in half. This is Xtreme Efficiency! Besides toning your entire body more quickly, engaging more muscles means you are automatically torching extra calories with every minute. Plus, these compound moves drive your body straight into the cardio zone—giving you both strength training AND cardio at once. It’s like two workouts in one. Busy people don’t have time to target one muscle group at a time or do separate cardio. If time is of the essence and fat loss is your goal, this is your workout. Give Jackie 30 minutes a day three times per week and she’ll give you a triplethreat body: lean, strong and totally sculpted!

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprised! September 4, 2010
By nctmac
Format:DVD
I have read a couple of opinions on fitness forums about this DVD, and they were not good. I was so close to skipping this based on those opinions, but....I caved, and I was surprised at the intensity!! It is only 32 minutes, however, during that time, Jackie makes you WORK.

Good form is crucial to the effectiveness of this workout. Each exercise works multiple muscle groups, so for the short amount of time, Jackie gets a lot done. Definately a timesaver =) Each exercise is done for one minute, then you move quickly to the next.

Here's a breakdown of the Multi-Joint Circuits:

Warm up

1. Glutes & Shoulders

Plie Squat with Shoulder Circles
Runner Pose with Rear Delt Raise (1 minute each leg)
Curtsey Squat to Side Kick & Punch (1 minute each leg) BALANCE CHALLENGE!!
Squat Pullover (use one weight)

2. Quads & Arms

Squat with Bicep Curls - Concetration Curls
Alternating Front Lunges with Tricep Headbangers (use one weight)
Alternating Forward Lunges with Chest Fly
Reverse Lunges to Front Kick & Punch (one minute each leg)

3. Hip, Chest, Back

Wide Squat Stance (with arms alternating) Punch down & Row up
On Ground - Glute Bridge with Chest Fly
Crawl out, Push up, Crawl back in, Pick up weights & do a Military Press
On Hands & Knees - Elbow to Knee, opposite arm to opposite knee

4. Multi Joint Functional Routine

Split Squat Wood Chop (one minute each leg)
Holding Arms Parallel to floor, palms up - Lift Knee up while squeezing biceps to ears. On opposie leg, traditional bicep curls with elbows pinned to body
On Ground - Kneeling, Leaning Side (lateral) Raise (one minute each side) this really hits obliques too!

5.0 out of 5 stars WHAT ON EARTH!?!?! September 30, 2010
Format:DVD
i do yoga about 3-4 times a week and do a 7 mile walk each day on the weekends. i thought i was in fairly good shape. i thought wrong.

i was watching jackie's show "thintervention" on tuesday and was so annoyed by the people whining and complaining about the workouts.(honestly some of those people are SO irritating). so i decided to go get this one.

i put this dvd in yesterday (bought it at target) and 15 minutes in i turned it off. i think i also may have been crying. this is a dvd that you definitely need to be in really good shape to get through. i'm going to keep trying and hopefully with a couple of more tries i'll be able to do the whole 30 minutes. i swear i never thought i'd have a problem with a 30 minute workout, but this one is TOUGH! i just kept thinking "thankfully Jackie is not really in my living room because she would be appalled". today after only FIFTEEN MINUTES my legs are on fire.(yes, i guess i'm one of the whiners!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Jackie's best DVD to date! September 7, 2010
Format:DVD
I purchased this at Target on Saturday, it was the only one out and I'm not sure if it was an error since according to Amazon, it's not being released for another month.

I debated on getting it because while I've liked workouts she's put together for magazines, I haven't been overly impressed with her DVDs. This one is different. Workout and production wise there has been a huge improvement, this is definitely her best workout to date!

Anyway, this workout is short, only 30 minutes, but boy oh boy is it TOUGH! In a good way though! Jackie has you working all the muscles in your body at a cardio pace. I was sweating buckets several minutes in. While she doesn't have any crunches or other core exercises, these compound exercises definitely work your core! If you're short on time and want to get a complete workout, heck even if you have all the time in the world- this is a killer full body workout and I highly suggest ordering it!

I like the idea of this shorter 32 minute routine, and while I think it is very challenging and good overall, I don't like it as well as Personal Training with Jackie: Power Circuit Training, which I've been doing for about a year. I do think this DVD is great at giving you good compound moves in a doable amount of time, but what it lacks in comparison to Jackie's last DVD is a segment devoted to abs, which the aforementioned DVD has an excellent 15 minute segment on. Also, after doing the Personal Training with Jackie: Power Circuit Training DVD, I feel like I've achieved a better overall workout, with legs and butt worked, arms worked, and abs. The other thing I don't like about the Xtreme Timesaver DVD are the two other women working out behind Jackie. They chit-chat way too much, and I think Jackie talks a little excessively too, and she doesn't workout as much as in her previous DVD. All in all, I like this DVD for a change of pace but like the last DVD better, especially for its great overall workout in about 40-45 minutes. Plus, I like the better production value on the Personal Training DVD. Still, Xtreme Timesaver is a good workout and I look forward to the next one coming out for abs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kick-Butt All-Over Strength Workout October 4, 2010
Format:DVD
For this DVD you will need: hand weights suiting your ability (beginners can start with no weights) and perhaps a mat if you're working out on a hard floor.

Personal Training With Jackie Xtreme Timesaver Training is a single 30 minute strength workout that kicks butt. This workout utilizes compound moves to train multiple muscle groups at one time. Following a brief warm-up you will do 60 second sets of each compound move and then move into the next move, and then of course at the end there's a brief cool down. You also have the menu option to choose just the chapters of the body parts you want to focus on.

Some of the compound moves include: curtsy with sidekick (while punching with weights), Plie squats with shoulder circles, runner's lunge with rear deltoid raise, alternating frontlungeswith tricep headbangers, and glute bridge with chest fly.

I won't mince words for those that want the cut and dry of it: I loved this workout. I enjoyed it, I was challenged, and I appreciate that I can use it to get an all-over body workout in only 30 minutes. Lately I tend towards workouts that really challenge me, this absolutely fits that bill. I whole heartedly give it 5 stars. I consider myself an intermediate to advanced exerciser and it kicked my butt.

One thing I would like to point out is that you don't have to be an advanced exerciser for this DVD. The beginner modifications they show start you with no weights and doing modified versions of the harder moves. I thought the beginner option was very well done. If you are new to strength training or working out in general you can start with the modifications then work your way up from there to the more advanced versions of the moves and heavier weights. I love a DVD that you can grow with.

HI this would actually be a good one for a man, but a better one would be Jackies 30 day fast start (despite the fact the cover is pink and black) it is a pyramid style workout and you can add as heavy of weights as you would like and you will get a really good workout.
