I couldn't believe this was a required text for my Personality Theories undergraduate course...it read like a novel! Unbelievably easy to read book, highly organize with bits of humor scattered throughout. You'll enjoy this book for both class and personal reading.

Not a good book at all. About the first five chapters were straight review, and that's a generous estimate. Also, for about a hundred dollars less, you can get the earlier edition, which is almost the exact same thing. Of course, that almost is a hang up - I bought this edition for myself and the older for my roommate, and there were a couple of questions on tests that she missed when she had to use the old edition. That said, it's a lot of money, so your choice on which you'll buy.

This book was not only very educational, but provided a humorous element
that was much appreciated.

The book is so interesting and easy to read that the word "textbook" doesn't really fit. It's a great and informing read.

Really more of a psychological memoir than a textbook, Funder truly drops the ball on this subject. The book is unorganized and not up to date on many subjects, and the author rants on and on about too many subjects, many of which have little to do with psychology. Additionally, the non-academic, "let me talk about what I think" feel of Funder's writing truly does a disservice to any serious reader. A failure: do not buy or assign.

The text arrived on time, however there is a lot more writing and highlighting than anticipated. Some tears on the corners. But the content is great and it works well for the class.
