Excellent workbook,
By A Customer
This review is from: Personality Theories Workbook (Paperback)
This workbook consisted of short "biographies" of realistic people. The detailed stories of their life supported different personality theories. The book was extremely readable and, should I say, enjoyable. Usually, I don't read texts for fun, but her characters were unique enough that I read ahead.

Personality Theories Workbook by Donna Ashcraft has been a valuable teaching
tool for my college class "Psychology of Personality" Sudents enjoy the case studies and the examples allow me the opportunity to share clinical understanding from the perspective of a variety of theoretical orientations. This book will be valuable to all faculty teaching Peronality Theory. Martin E. Keller, Ed.D ABPP Diplomate in Clinical Psychology 11020 N. Tatum Blvd, Phoenix, Arizona 85028 602 996 8619

I purchased this companion workbook to go with the textbook. It's sort of small, there's really not much room to answer the questions in the book.

I used this book for a personality class that I taught at the undergraduate level. The cases were a great adjunct to the textbooks and helped to bring the concepts alive for my students. I could not use the additional questions after each case because they would often refer to theories we had not reviewed yet, but the few questions directly after the story were great for homework/group assignments.

This is a fine book however the corresponding textbook has been updated since the workbook was edited. Some of the psychologists in this book are not covered in the textbook at all. Be prepared to do some outside research if your instructor requires you to complete the case studies.

Days before the start of school - an entire month - still no book. The vendor refused to cancel the order and I had to contact my credit card company to reverse the charges, then re-order from another vendor. Now I know why people should read the reviews.
