The book is very detailed but easy to understand. It explained computer terminology, hardware, software, language, and more in such a way to make sense. The book is ideal for people with little undertanding of, or just beginning to use, computers and programs.

not particularly engaging. though the class i bought this for is review for me. a satisfactory, very basic computer essentials textbook.

this books is the bomb. i search through alot book (that would let me)before deciding on this one. there's a vast amount of infomation on everything in here, i would need at least 3 books to cover what this does. it came with a cd many exams,test,vocabulary words and key terms to help me understand and get the concept.

I have not bought the book (not technical enough), but this is one of the best illustrated books I have ever seen, judging by the sample pages available on Google Books (Am I allowed to mention Google on Amazon?). If it wasn't so expensive, I would bought one just for the colorful/colourful illustrations. Should make an excellent introduction to computers and networks. The title could have been more descriptive.

This book was so general that it should be taught in high school or middle school NOT COLLEGE! This was for a sophomore level class. Hard to believe since I think it was written for kids! Even some of the use of grammar is more child-like. If you want a 4.0 in a college class that uses this textbook then get it. I never even opened the book and made a 4.0 in that class!!! I should have tested out of that class and saved my time and money.

My first computer book to read. it was so good i have decided to advance my knowledge in computing especially programming.

Forced to purchase this book for a class. It was packed with great info and easy to read. I thought I'd hang on to it, but I resold it. Served the purpose.

I paid full price for a new book an this book was nowhere near new condition! The seller claimed to sell a book that came with a CD and of course, NO CD!!!!! Do not order from this seller!

I have not received my book and today was supposed to be the last day to receive the item. I am very mad and confused.
