I'm using this book right now as a text in one of my classes. The book is well written, easy to understand, and very informative. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in this subject.

This book is really a collection of "current" articles. This means it does not read like a textbook which is not a problem per se it just takes a minute to realize the format is a little different. Some articles were of course better than others and the actual content varies widely. Some sections will seem outdated others are very helpful. Overall, it is a fairly good resource.

I ordered this book because it was a requirement for my class in Criminal Justice. I contemplated ordering this book from Amazon because the price was so reasonable, as opposed to the bookstore required by the University, and I was not sure if I would regret purchasing it from this site. But too my surprise, it was the ediiton required for my class. I was so happy that the book arrived within a reasonable amount of time before classes started, and that there were no regrets. After this experience, I will be ordering more books for my college classes from Amazon.
