This review is from: Perspectives, Vol. 1: The Notebooks of Paul Brunton- A Survey of Categories 1-28 (Paperback)
I've never encountered such an amazing collection of wisdom. Each sentence has a delicate balance of intellectual clarity and heartfelt insight. It's hard to find any instance in my life that isn't addressed within the covers of this book. A real treasure!

An overview of a mature philosophy.,

This review is from: Perspectives, Vol. 1: The Notebooks of Paul Brunton- A Survey of Categories 1-28 (Paperback)
Perspectives provides excerpts from Paul Brunton's 7,000 pages of notebooks, giving the fruits of his mature thinking. You will find guidance to spirituality, health, metaphysics, yoga, and insights into quieter, more meaningful living. Don't plan to read the book all at once. It's best digested a few pages at a time, so that you can think and ponder the words you've read.

This review is from: Perspectives, Vol. 1: The Notebooks of Paul Brunton- A Survey of Categories 1-28 (Paperback)
It is little wonder that Paul Brunton went into a twenty-year seclusion in his later life. This one notebook covers a vast array of philosophical thinking from relaxation and contemplative meditation through to humankind's inability and finiteness to comprehend the infinite mind.In his own way he rejects the teaching that the infinite God can voluntarily descend into a finite human body, but then goes onto to build the importance of the (human) spirit in the Universe. Every page, every "note" prompts the reader to stop and mull over the words. Every student of religious and spiritual philosophy should study Brunton's work. The subtitle of the book is: "The Timeless Way of Wisdom." Right on.
