You want this, and you want this now! I was in the audience the night this was recorded, and while the other buyers of the CD have given this work a 5-star rating, the fact is that the 10,000-plus of us packed into Jericho that night rated this performance a 38 on a scale of 1 to 10! And the finished CD doesn't miss a beat. This work is a stand-on-your-feet, raise-your-arms-high, clap-all-night production that is gospel in name, but soul in orchestration. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish--no matter your age, race, sex, religion, or convictions. You want this, and you want this now!

I got this CD as a present and had my first chance at listening to it on a commuter train ride to work one morning. Between crying and shouting, I was almost evicted from the car! Richard Smallwood has always been a truly talented and spirit filled composer and musician but in his last few projects, he has begun integrating orchestral music into his performances. I am "persuaded" that this should be part of his future projects as well since it allows Richard to flex his vast musical muscles as well as introduce and expand the Gospel genre with instruments and sounds not usually associated with gospel music - and Richard gives the orchestra a workout on this CD. Start with Richard's mind-boggling complex but beautiful compositions and biblical based lyrics, mix in the spectacular talent, range and precision of Vision (those folks have a very clear UNDERSTANDING of what it is "to sing") and top it off with the orchestra and one of the baddest bands in gospel music and you have a recipe for 76 minutes of praise filled, spine-tingling, goose-pimpling, hallelujah good times. His mix of the classics (I almost fainted at the glory and majesty of "Psalms 8" and "Your Love Divine") along with the superb new tunes ("Processional of the Levites/Anthem Of Praise" had both me and my 4-year son old marching in single-file) makes for a very enjoyable and uplifting experience. I have almost all of Richard's previous projects, and they just keep getting better with every one. I am here on Amazon to order the Tape so that I can watch as well as listen to this most excellent of praise sessions from Richard the "master musician". For the serious Smallwood fan, this one is keeper. May God continue to bless Richard Smallwood, Vision and their ministry.

The title says it all. Richard Smallwood has firmly established himself as an accomplished musician and a minister of God's word. With his blending of several musical genres, including classical, blues, traditional gospel, R&B, along with annointed, God-inspired lyrics, one can't help but be spiritually transformed. Smallwood and Vision sing old favorites, such as Psalm 8, Calvary, and Your Love Divine, and add new, instant classics like My Everything and Coronation. One of the many highlights is his instrumental of It Is Well with my Soul/Come Ye Disconsolate. If you can't feel the spirit of God chiming through, someone may need to check your pulse. Smallwood's music has touched the lives of millions over his 25+ years of recorded music ministry. Persuaded is a testimony that his ministry is still strong and will continue to touch many lives. If you don't have the CD, get it. You won't be the same after listening to it.

RICHARD SMALLWOOD IS THE MAESTRO OF GOSPEL MUSIC. FROM THE FIRST ALBUM TO THE LATEST HE IS STILL AWESOME! "PSALMS 8" IS MAJESTIC AND "IT IS WELL" TRULY SHOWS GOD'S WONDERFULL ABILITY TO SHOW HIMSELF THROUGH HIS PEOPLE. I WOULD INSIST THAT YOU INVEST IN THIS CD AND BE BLESSED!

Richard Smallwood & Vision truly bring in the holy spirit with their music. This CD is absolutely awesome. I will forever hold this CD close to my heart. The song "Hold On, Don't Let Go" ministered to my friend and me. I had recently fallen ill and the physicians were unable to tell me what was wrong, however after a month of this mysterious illness, I recovered thanks be to God. One day after I'd recovered I visited my friend who had fallen ill and had been diagnosed with kidney failure. During the drive to her dialysis center I played this CD in the car and we listened to "Hold On, Don't Let Go" and we held each other's hand and cried and praised God together. As Mr. Smallwood states prior to singing this song on the Video Tape (which I have as well) that we all have to go through something, maybe we have just gone through something, or are presently going through something, or are about to go through something. The words to this song lets us know that we need to hold on and not let go. That day during that ride that song ministered to us, I'd just come out of something and my friend was about to go through something because the next day she suffered a stroke and to this day the two of us are still holding on and not letting go, not only to God but to each other. That day God talked to us through this CD and I will forever be grateful.

If you weren't a Richard Smallwood fan before, you should be after listening to this CD. It truly represents his creativity, talent and versatility. It is a marvelous mixture of some of his timeless classics and uncharted territory. This is definately must have for the gospel music lover!

Persuaded is wonderful!! It has a blend of praise, worship, classical, latin, and jazz that is definitely characteristic of anything Richard Smallwood does! The Anthem of Praise moves you into God's presence right from the beginning of the CD. Psalm 8 is beautiful worship. AND he has a piano solo (It is well with my soul) that is awesome. This CD is definitely anointed and it makes you wish you were in DC when it was recorded.

This CD is a masterful work by Richard Smallwood. Songs such as "Procession of the Levites" and "Hold On, Don't Let Go" reflect the power evident throughout the whole CD. This CD is a masterpiece with good vocals and excellent music, as well as a theme that focuses on God.

I must say that I have never purchased a new project that was just not hitting it! It seems like every project gets better and better. Once I get myself all filled with emotions from the last project here comes another one that fills me up even more. I LOVE IT...I LOVE IT...I LOVE IT! As the younger generation would say, "Richard Smallwood is the BOMB"!

I listened to Persuaded on my way across country and on the plane. It was very comforting and relaxing to hear. The melodies are beautiful and Richard Smallwood has a very unique way of composing music that speaks to the heart. His harmony is very unusual and makes me imagine the way they praise the Lord around His throne continually. I recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys contemporary Christian music that is anointed of God and does not have a gimmick or commercial feel. It is real.
