This is an excellent full-sized road map of Peru. It has the mileage between towns and cities clearly marked and is a very comprehensive map. We travel extensively in Peru--much of our travel in smaller rural towns---so this map certainly fits our needs very nicely.

1.0 out of 5 stars Incorrect data cost us half a day of driving, July 19, 2009

We just spent two weeks driving through Southern Peru, with a Garmin GPS for navigation and this map as a back up. This map does not show any of the smaller villages and roads that are on the free digital GPS map at [...]. It includes some detail city maps, but they show less detail than the free maps you can get at each hotel. But a more important flaw is that it shows a main road between Arequipa and Juliaca that runs through Chiguata. The real main road runs through Yura, but is shown on this map as a minor road. We trusted this map, and ended up backtracking through hellish Arequipa traffic, losing about half a day in the process. It is an OK map to orient yourself with prior to your trip, or to follow along if you are in an organized tour. Do not rely on it for actual navigation.
