At his third book, Supervert has come a long way through the swamp of sexual perversion. Taking a philosophical position towards the things that make conventional society go "ewww" or cause public outrage, Supervert examines what makes the perv tick, what is perversity exactly, what makes it seem so taboo. If you look at the animal kingdom, many of the things that we humans condemn such as rape and polygamy are natural, while we label these "perverse," "disgusting," a vice instead of a virtue (to reference the Marquis de Sade); but isn't repressing those natural impulses perverse in itself? Is celibacy perverse? These are just some of the questions he raises and that have my mind thinking long after I finished this wonderful book which is told in Supervert's usual style of juxtaposing philosophy with the kinky, examples from literature, other philosophers and art serve the book well. If you have to read at least one alternative book that turns on the intellect then pick up Perversity Think Tank, your brain will mentalgasm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perversity Think Tank, January 11, 2012

Supervert is an obscure author with strange topics, but they never fail to bring a smile on my face. Totally strange and bizarre, written to make you shake your head in wonder. I do have to wonder how many of my friends actually read this books when I pass them around...or if people are more on the concerned side for my reading material.
