Being Puerto Rican from San Juan and having that Rumba in the blood, I definetely think Victor Manuelle goes beyond Marc Anthony's "Americanized Salsa".Of course everybody knows that Marc Anthony sells more, but just because there is more marketing along his music, si eres Puertorriqueno de verdad tu sabes where the roots come from, and Victor Manelle puts it down in this CD like in all he has done...Que Viva Puerto Rico!!!gracias mil

I have all of Victor MAnuelle's cds. When he comes out with a new I get it the same day it comes out. He makes me proud to be a Puertorrican. He is very talented, I love the way he sings and dance. He is also very fine. He is one os the best Salsa singers i know along with Marc Anthony, Frankie Negron and Micheal Stuart. When he comes to Chicago I'm always at his concerts. For people sho haven't heard his cd, trust me the first time you listen to him you love him. I saw Victor Manuelle at the Aragon Ballroom March 18, 2000 I was right at the front and as carzy as I was about him when he was singing he came toward where I was standing and I gave him my 14K gold ring with a heart and a puertorrican flag colored in it. That's how carzy I am about Victor Manuelle to give him something I've had for a long time.

How can anyone compare these two? Marc Antony is ok but much more 'commercial'. Victor has more flavor, his band is tighter...it's just more 'salsa' versus Marc's 'pop salsa'.

There's a couple of reviews that are comparing Victor Manuelle and Marc Anthony. On what grounds is Marc Anthony a better salsero? Marc Anthony has more of a singing range than Victor Manuelle but has nothing of a "sonero". Victor Manuelle's music is more danceable and there are no soft slow stuff to skip on the discs. My point is that they have two different styles (both remarkable at it). Marc is more popular than Victor in the US. Victor is more popular than Marc in PR. Size (geographical)doesn't matter because obviously we all know where are the true salsa fans (P.R.). Sure Marc Anthony is probably more popular in China from a possible marketing advantage, but then again, how many people out there listen to salsa regularly.
Let me finally review this disc. Great sounding CD. Aggresive and danceable. Lost a star because of track 3 (fuchi)

i think that victor manuelle is one of the best salsa artist his songs have great meaning to them and they are soo danceable. he is even better in concert. i would never miss him if he ever came back to houston.

I'd like to start off by saying that I think Victor Manuelle is a great salsero and that I have all his albums. His songs are very danceable and he's an excellent performer. HOWEVER, I wouldn't go as far as to say that he has already topped off Marc Anthony - PLEASE! Marc Anthony is the undisputed King of Salsa. He is the biggest selling salsa artist in the history of salsa. Not one of Victor Manuelle's cd's have gone platinum. Each and every one of Marc's cds have gone double platinum or better. No other salsa artist has ever done that...no, not even Victor Manuelle. Hey I'm giving credit where credit is due. Victor has a nice and unique voice and a good performer, I've seen both men live(Marc several times of course), and there's no comparison. Everyone says it...Marc is one hell of performer & the voice he has is remarkable. His tenor is off the hook. Let's see Victor try to even reach half a note my man Marc reaches and holds with ease. Once again, there's no comparison - being the only salsa artist in the world to sell out the garden, he did it twice and sold seats behind the stage...something never done by the garden. Just wanted to give my comments on the cd, but to also say that yeah Victor is great, but not better than Marc Anthony......El Rey de la Salsa!

i think his music is cool i like the lyrics are nice and his salsa band is awsome and i hope to play trumpet for his band one day

I love all the songs that are in this album. I love the rhythm! All the songs are very danceable. When I listen to it, I have to get up & dance. He's an extraordinary salsa singer!! I give him 5....never mind, 50 stars!!

Ya tengo 4 discos de este cantante divino y este disco es uno de los mejores
