I just bought this stroller for my puppy who will not walk more than a 1/4 mile without sitting down stubbornly! I took him for a five mile walk this morning! It was great! I let him alternate walking and riding. I left the mesh "window" unzipped so he could freely look out and give me a signal if he was ready to walk again by standing. (I attached his harness to the strap inside the stroller.) He was comfortable and happy. He now weighs 12 lbs but should get up toward 20 lbs and I find this stoller plenty adequate for him. I chose this over the AT3 version due to the cost and weight. I think I will be happier with this version. I believe this was the best stoller for the $$ out there after all my research.

After reading reviews, I was worried about the cupholders being too shallow. But my Camelback Podium water bottles fit snuggly in the cup holders which made it so they wouldn't fall out. There is plenty of storage. The little pocket on the side I put my plastic bags to pick up after him.

I plan on running with this stroller eventually. The "special edition" has a locking (and unlocking if you wish) front wheel which makes it more stable.

I ordered the wind/rain cover which I haven't received yet. I am not sure how much I will use it. I really think it should be included but that is my two cents...

My husband thought this was one of my stupidest purchases thinking that a dog should be able to walk but it allowed me to get a good hour walk in for the first time this summer. I wish I had purchased it back in MAY!!! People were surprised when a dog was riding it instead of a baby. And even more surprised when he was walking along side me and it was empty!! I found myself explaining why I bought it so I didn't look like a lunatic! But I am happy with it and would highly recommend it to others.

We ordered this stroller because our girls (MinPin and Chihuahua) are getting older and long walks are too much for them. This works out great because they walk a little way and then get in and ride. We were afraid they would not like the stroller right away, but were we wrong! They love it. It is plenty big enough for two small dogs. They beg to get in and sit there taking in all the scenery with big dog smiles! They even give the other dogs the na-na-na we've got it made look. It seems well made and sturdy enough for both of our dogs.

Go ahead and buy it! First, the color is lovely. Next, the size is perfect for my two chihuahua mixes, together weighing about 24 lbs. It is easy to fold for storage and does not take up a lot of room. Easy to assemble. My blind and deaf 15 year old nestles in and looks totally happy, the 10 year old loves it too. On a road trip I saw her crawl to the back of my Subaru Forester, find the folded stroller, and get in! I leave it unzipped most of the time, but if there are concerns about other dogs or little kids, I zip it up. There are windows for the sighted dog to look out at the world from a safe vantage point.

and I am thankful that my aging and ailing little buddy (now deceased) was able to enjoy getting to ride about instead of walking too far and becoming overly tired. He weighed 21 pounds and I don't know how much more weight in the main cabin would have been tolerated as the stroller really shook about if he moved around and tipped backwards once when he sat all the way to the back and I wasn't holding on. There is a hook strap to tether your pet inside but I think it is too long and my dog was able to jump out and then get hung up. He had to be fully zippered in to prevent that, so it is nice to have both features depending on the temperment of your pet. My new rescue dog is only 11 pounds, and I can barely tell he is in there and he easily rides with just the tether. The poor fella is too timid to even think about jumping out.

I am 5'5" and the push bar seems a little low for an average height; when you press down as you walk, the front wheels will occasionally ride up above the ground. The front swivel wheels are a nice feature that you can lock in place depending on the terrain. The overall ride for the pet seems smooth going and the overall look is appealing with plenty of storage space. The cup holders could be deeper. My water bottle does frequently tip over. Since this costs about the same as some very good human baby strollers, I expected it to be just as sturdy and stable but it falls a little short in that department.

This folds up easily and is light enough to not wrench your back when putting it in the trunk. Assembly was easy and accomplished by my husband in about 10 minutes. If I could, I would give this 3-1/2 stars instead of only 3. It falls short of 4 stars for me because of the price and occasional high-riding-off-the-ground front wheels. If that were not an issue, it wouldn't reach 5 stars for me because it is rated for 45 pounds and it seemed occasionally unstable for a 21 pound dog when he changed position.

All that being said, I would purchase this strollers again as the reviews and features of other strollers seemed inferior to this one. Buy it for the best price you can find, don't expect a cadillac, and enjoy some great outings with your pet (and a few second glances from people that wonder if they really just saw a pet in a stroller!)

I decided to purchase this model because of the excellent reviews. After several weeks of online searching this was the model that seemed to meet all my needs for the price I was willing to pay. Before the stroller I would have to carry my dog home when she tired from her walk. The stroller arrived quickly, was easy to assemble and is a joy to walk with. The stroller is the perfect size for my 8 year old 30 lb. French Bulldog. At first she was a bit hesitant to ride in it, and tried to jump out. On our second walk she turned around and faced me while strolling and on our third walk in gorgeous weather I unzipped the the top and pulled back the cover and she rode in it convertible style, which she seemed to really enjoy! During our daily walks I let her walk as far as she can and when she gets tired and stops I lock the back wheels, unzip the back of the stroller remove her leash and put her in it. The back entrance is the easiest way I have found to place her inside, at 30 lbs. I can't lift her too high, so the height is just right. I do tether her once inside and depending on the weather open or close the top. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it. Amazon is wonderful, I placed the order on Monday morning and we were strolling by Thursday afternoon!

We purchased this stroller before taking a trip to California with our two Chihuahuas. They loved the stroller....even the one who normallaly does not like carriers. They had a ball going everywhere with us.
We humans enjoyed the cup holder, parking break and underneath storage (for purse or packages.)
Down side: You must open the main zipper entirely when folding this lightweight carriage to put in the car, or it puts too much stress on the fabric. Ours ripped due to this and when I called the company they shipped us another for free. (There is a 120 day full warrenty.)
I highly recommend the little buggy and suspect your little ones will love it too!

I researched all the products available, carefully read the reviews, and chose this stroller. It arrived about a month ago and although there were not any real instructions for assembly, my husband put it together in a very short time with no problem. There was no problem with the zipper as mentioned by other reviewers. However, I would have liked the cup holders to be a bit deeper. The dogs love it!!! 5 lb and 23 lb share the ride. It is working out great as they walk until they get tired, then get in the stroller enabling me to get in a real workout before returning home. I am sure the larger back wheels are an advantage in the smooth ride. I was surprised that one of my rescues would ride in the stroller as she has real issues from being penned up on a puppy farm for three years, but she is doing great! A great buy!

I bought this stroller for my four cats who love the outdoors, but don't feel safe on the ground. All four fit in this stroller together and we go for a walk daily. They love to smell the fresh outdoor air and see everything new there is to see. I am so glad I bought this!

I only gave it a 3 star because I wish it were wider :O( Both my fur-kids want to sit up front, but only one can (the alpha female). My poor boy has to sit in the back and can barely see what's going on up front. My girl is 11 lbs. and my boy is 6 lbs. If Pet Gear were to design a wider stroller, higher off the ground (like this one), I would be the first in line to buy it.

I bought this stroller in November 2010 and already the front wheel mechanism that pivots has broken beyond repair. The tube that connects the wheel to the stroller body has completely severed the wheel mechanism. I also found that the zippers are hard to operate when the pet is placed inside the stroller. It appears that the weight of the dog (small Schnauzer weighing 22 lbs) puts pressure on the zipper making it difficult to line up and close without getting misaligned. Otherwise, the stroller worked great. On January 14, 2011, I contacted Pet Gear in Vermont and they are sending me a replacement stroller identical to the one I had. I told the Pet Gear representative that I was skeptical that this wheel mechanism problem might happen again with this same stroller. The Pet Gear representative said that she had not heard of any other problems with the wheel mechanism. So I am willing to give it another try with the replacement stroller. I told the Pet Gear Representative that I felt that the zipper would be the first part to go on the stroller because of the difficulties I was having getting it to line up correctly.
