We bought this bed for our Rottweiler over a year ago and find ourselves in the position of having to replace as it sags badly in the center. I would not buy this brand again.

Good Old Dog,

My fourteen year old pup does a lot of sleeping now days and this one really seems to keeps him comfortable. The egg carton foam feels like it gives him lighter support than a solid foam mattress. The cover is fully zippered and easy to get off for cleaning if I can ever get him off of it! Just what he deserves after so many years.

My German Shepherd loves this bed and it is very supportive for her joints. I would recommend this bed over the standard egg crate bed for anyone with a dog prone to hip dysplasia and arthritis.

I am torn with this purchase. From day one our older chocolate lab loved this bed and it seemed to ease arthritis pain. The younger dog in the house and visiting dogs also loved it. Unfortunately, it has been under two months and the middle of the bed has sagged considerably, so it needs replacing. I expected more for $140.I would rate this bed as five stars if the product held up --- alas.....

Was very excited to get it....my dog loved it...he needs a good bed due to hip problems. It has quickly flattened in the middle. A bit disappointing. I had hoped it would last longer. I guess for $100 that is what you get.

i bought this bed thinking the removable cover would be a plus. the cover had holes in it, after the second wash. since this is a dogs bed it does require frequent washes. within the first 2 months i was having to cover the cover. the foam mattress is a glorified eggcrate and extremely difficult to clean, with a vacumn. the foam has a big sag in the middle of it, and my arthritic dog won't lie on it anymore.this is not a year old and needs to be replaced.

Starting to sag under the weight of my 100+ pound akita so a lighter weight dog might be better but he loves it anyway!

My french bulldog sleeps on this bed and prefers it to two other sleeping areas we have for him. The memory foam is firm and it looks pretty comfortable for my little guy. I only wish that the material on the top wasn't white, as it seems to get dingy very quickly. I would buy this again and suggest this item to friends.

Bought this bed through Amazon because they had the best price on it. My 8 year old lab has hip dysplasia and arthritis in her back and elbows so I'd been looking for a nice, thick bed for her crate so she'd be sure to get a good night's rest. The information on the bed referred to a plastic cover, which I thought would come in handy if ever she became incontinent in her older years. The cover though, was just a plastic wrap that made sure the bed stayed clean in the box it was shipped in. I did take the real cover off though, and wrapped the plastic around the foam and sealed it with duct tape-- it's better than nothing, I guess. Her crate is a 42" and the bed fits perfectly inside. I had to tilt it sideways to shove it in because it's so thick, but once in there, it's nice and snug. She adores it and is always sprawled out in there. She's even been preferring to be in there during the day instead of the couch. Some of the reviews I read mentioned sagging or problems with the foam wearing out where the dog always lays, but it's been almost 2 months and I haven't noticed any issues yet. I'm hoping because it fits so securely in her crate, that'll keep the foam from spreading out and thinning. Other than the misleading "plastic cover" that's included, we're happy with the bed!

This is the best dog bed that I have ever owned. I have purchased many, very expensive dog beds from that big mail-order company in Freeport. But those mattresses were flat, torn and non-supportive in a short time. This bed is very firm, will keep your pet up, off of the floor, and provide firm (but comfy) support for those with sore joints, as well as preventing your younger dogs from acquiring joint problems . I highly recommend the high-quality of this item, it is well-priced when compared with the quality that it offers. |
