I love Pet Organics No-Scratch for Cats. It does not leave an odor on furniture. (If you sniff the bottle itself, the scent is very mild.) It has never stained any of my furniture.

I have found that with my cat, I need to spray it on my furniture a few times a week, indefinitely. I keep an extra bottle on hand.

But this product alone won't keep your cat from scratching! Remember to keep your cat's nails trimmed, and to provide it with its own scratching post(s), preferably covered in catnip.

Um, i'm all for products that use "natural" ingredients and wanted so much for this product to work, but for my cat, it does nothing. The product apparently is based on vegetable oil with clove oil and some other oil (I don't have the product in front of me). It didn't seem to have much of a smell at all. I sprayed the couch every day for 4 days as directed and during that time I suspected my cat was still scratching the couch. So I put some of the spray on my hand and had her sniff it and SHE LICKED IT! More than once! I don't expect a spray to be the only solution to prevent a cat from scratching (provide scratching posts, scare her away from the furniture, reward good behavior, etc), but I have to think this product is useless if my cat thinks its tasty. I don't know, maybe she has peculiar tastes. The 2nd star is to acknowledge that possibility.

I have never believed that there is anything that will stop a cat from scratching whatever it wants. I purchased this with trepidation, thinking maybe it will work. My main concern was only my stereo subwoofers fine fabric cover and my living room window blinds that run across the floor.

I brought home two 9-week old Bengal kittens that were a little wild. That scratched and climbed on everything. Everyday, I sprayed this product on the subwoofer fabric and the cloth window blinds. They still scratch like crazy, mostly on the rug and the scratch tower post. But surprisingly, they have not touched the window blinds or the subwoofers. It has only been two weeks. If this continues, I can safely say that my kittens will not get declawed and my furniture will stay safe. Sure, it's a little trouble to spray it on every day, but its well worth the effort. Mind you, every cat is different, but Bengals mixes are fairly wild.

This is really good stuff, I use it on my carpets to keep my cat from tearing them up. It's pretty effective for a couple of months or until I vacuum, then it needs to be redone. I like it.

I bought a bottle a few years back and luckily had some left over for a few months ago when I got a new cover for the futon. Used as directed on the bottle and after four days, both of the cats found elsewhere to sleep. It seems to have a cumulative effect - keep spraying it on for the 4 days as it says on the bottle and your cats will avoid the area. Respray as necessary. I used up the last of my bottle and will be getting more.

I used this as a deterrent for my cat to save my curtains and sofa, but even after coating the house in the spray, my cat continued as usual.

I was so disapointed with this product. It does not work at all. The only thing that my cats do not like is the sound of the spray coming out of the bottle!!

i tried this item on several things my cats were scratching on NEVER WORKED!! as soon as i spayed the item my cat went right over and continued to scratch

I really wanted this to work - long ago I had used an aerosol product that provided excellent results with my previous cats yet evidently it is no longer on the market. I have two newer cats and despite the disclaimer that they are not responsible for damage to furnishings, doesn't work for certain cats, etc., I decided to give it a go. I should have paid more attention to the disclaimer as it is decidedly there for a reason.

This "deterrent" in my experience, with two cats mind you, does nothing other than lightly moisten my upholstery - although it is scentless as advertised. The cats look at me rather mockingly when I say "stop!" and spray the spray. I followed the directions to a "T", sprayed every 12 hours or so, to no avail. Long story short, even after buying this product I am now the proud owner of a shredded custom linen sofa along with two destroyed bergere chairs. However, this is not necessarily the fault of No Scratch! whom I assume coddles us pet owners with all-natural products; it is simply because the product does not work. Essential oils to deter a cat? Give me a break...

I think this is the best product out there, and I have tried a few. Little pricey but it works.
