This review is from: The Pet Plague Trilogy (Kindle Edition)
I found this trilogy to be far better than I expected, and finished wishing there was a fourth book. The first of the trilogy might be considered "genepunk." The second two brought to mind some of Haldeman's post apocalyptic stories. What carries all three, however, are the animal characters and the way Bain portrays them. Overall, quality compares to some of the better SF out there, this isn't, as I first feared, pulpy fan fiction - you have some good writing here, it's well edited, original, and deserves a place on any SF fan's (digital) bookshelf.
