My pups love this to fetch, play tug a war with each other, and just teeth on. Some of the pieces around the sides make a crinkling sound so it always is effective to distract them if they are chewing on something they shouldn't. When it gets dirty I just toss it in with a wash load.

For a small puppy and or small dog...I think a big dog might rip and tear it up. I have two Shih Tzu's, one is 10 weeks, the other is 7 months.
I bought it for the 7 month pup when he was 8 weeks old & it's in the same condition as it was when I opened it.
Still a favorite for the older pup...great toy for the young ones, crackle noise keeps them interested. Fun to throw...kind of like a frisbee! :)

If you have a cat who fetches paper wads or other items, you might try this toy, too. Our Siamese likes to play fetch with it. She's not as consistent as she was with the paper balls, but still it's not quite as alarming to step on at 4:00 AM.

The best thing about the Pet Stages toys for cats is that I have never had a cat who could get them open. Their tough exterior guarantees long play life and hopefully no belly-full of filler which could cause serious injuries.

My 2.5 yr Papillon boy has a brain switch for toys: 1) I don't even see it. 2) It will be ok for a while and 3) I LOVE IT!!!

The PetStages Soft Ring Toss is only one down from his top favorite toy, a little, squeeky football named "SQUEEK!"

When he plays alone with the Soft Ring Toss named "CLOWN!" he grabs a section; the rest of the ring flips up onto his forehead so that his nose and eyes are outlined in the middle opening. I can't help but sing "Bring in the clowns" whenever I see him trotting around like this, lol. After a while, of course, he brings it to me for a long, long game of TOSS, CATCH N' TUUUUG!

Can't tell you how many other soft toys he has disembowled and set aside forever but this PetStages Ring Toss lasts a long time. Love and respect? Something about the ring toss that keeps him from shredding it? Ask him.
Am always afraid the good things will be discontinued so I just ordered 3 more from Amazon for future years.

I bought this as my dog's first toy, when he was only 3 months old. To this day, he loves this ring! It is colorful, playful, and the crinkling sound keep him interested in this toy always, not to mention that the toy is so light weight, that my <10lbs pup can actually toss it around. Loved this toy. I wish I had bought so many more. :)

Somehow my dog manages to shred every toy he gets . . . except this one. He loves the krinkly noises; it keeps him occupied. Although, he has tried to destroy it, the toy is still in tact.

I was searching for different types of toys that would keep my golden retriever puppy entertained. Many dog toys have squeakers which can be a little much for the owners. This one is great because it's small (but not too small) enough for puppy's mouth and it makes crinkly sounds. My pup loves it!

My dog loved this toy. She's obsessed with tags so this was perfect for her. Some of the tags make crinkle sounds which she liked. The problem is the tags are pretty easy to get off. She's a Cavalier King Charles and on the small side - about 9lbs - and she had no problem ripping them off in a few minutes. Sizewise this toy is meant for a puppy or small dog.

My husband brought home a tiny puppy from the shelter recently. At barely 5 weeks old, and the runt of her litter, she wasn't quite ready to be away from mom (not cool whoever took the poor babe and her litter-mates to the pound). She didn't even have the majority of her teeth and wasn't weaned. We needed something for her to use for teething and to help stop her from biting on her new human family members. Most of the toys we came across were too large for her mouth. When we found this at a pet store we had to get it. She loves the crinkly sound it makes, and the size is perfect for her tiny puppy mouth. I'd highly recommend this toy for smaller pups.

This was a great toy for a couple days. The problem is our puppy ripped it very easily. She did have a great time playing with it before it ws destroyed though.
