5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommend!!!
My lab-mix used to have a wonderful thick coat. She's somewhat allergic, so she's on a hypoallergenic food and I used to give her 3V Skin Caps with Fish oil, vitamin A, E and D. When 3V discontinued the Skin Caps, I switched her to another brand that was recommended as an equivalent. In no time at all she started to develop dry patches on her sides which quickly went...

Pet-Tabs Plus for Dogs, 365 Tablets
After reading all these reviews I want to say that I have been using Pet Tab Plus for my dogs for years.... I just looked at my old jar which states "made in the USA" and my new jar, which states "made in India" and I'm thinking I'll never use them again. Whoever thinks there isn't a difference between manufacture in the USA and in India or China should think again. Cleanliness alone should make you distrust any food product made for humans, let alone for pets, not to mention the problems people have had feeding their pets food made in China laced with chemicals. The point that companies use to explain why they move their manufacturing is the cost is cheaper. Well think about that. The cost is cheaper because there are no regulations for one, and the way they treat people in those countries should shame anyone. With no regulations I don't know how any company can claim their product for consumption is the same as it was when it was made here in the USA. Just watching TV shows when people are in India, should make you think twice before feeding anything from that country to your pet. This is just my opinion. I won't be using Pet Tabs any longer after all these years and I sent a letter to the company complaining about the change and why. I'm not a complainer, this is the first time I've posted anything and I've used Amazon since they were just a little bookstore online. I just think of my dogs as my kids, and I can't in my right mind give them something I don't trust to be safe. To me it's just a matter of time before some scandal of pet tabs poisoning people's pets shows up. These corporate heads just traded their product's safety for a small savings in money, is that who you would trust to buy products from? I'm not mad at them other than the inconvenience of having to change a routine purchase into a search for a new product I can trust.

I corresponded with the USA Representative for Pet Tabs who advised me that the manufacturing of Pet Tabs will be moved back to the USA at the end of the year. Apparently they listened to people who had a concern for using products made in a country that has a lack of hygiene and safety laws, not to mention the general lack of cleanliness of the country. I was told the new manufacturing will be in Nebraska. I look forward to using the products again. I will be watching the labels to see the change. I do want to say that the representative was cordial and polite even though I was complaining about what he sells. He has no control over where his product is made, but left me with the impression that although there was no increase in product complaints there was definitely an increase in concern over the choice to move manufacture to India. So it was a two year lesson for the company. Hopefully they learned that people do care about product safety and where a food product is manufactured.

In no time at all she started to develop dry patches on her sides which quickly went bald. I investigated the guaranteed analysis of the "new" skin caps and realized they didn't have the same dosage of specific vitamins that the old ones had. I researched Pet-Tabs Plus for Dogs and realized that it would easily deliver the deficiency of vitamins she was missing, and then some! She's been on them for about a month and at first I was afraid to believe it, but the hair is finally growing back! I highly recommend this product if your dog has any skin issues. It works!

I don't know if these work or don't work. All I can say is that I have been using them for years and my 12 year old dog is very healthy for her age and likes the vitamins. This is the best deal I have found for the vites but would probably buy them at any price.

I've been giving my dogs Pet Tabs Plus for years. My vet originally recommended them as a vitamin supplement. Our dogs have done great on them, along with excellent care, and being spoiled, we will keep them on the Pet Tabs Plus.

We have four pound dogs and thought supplements would be a good idea. Wrong, not long after (less than a week) several female dogs developed crystals in their urine. The Vet said it was the Pet tabs since they are an unregulated product and made in India. I would advise using only American made pet products not unregulated imported products

2.0 out of 5 stars Sorbitol is not good for dogs, January 23, 2011
This review is from: Pet-Tabs Plus for Dogs, 365 Tablets (Kitchen)
I have not used this product, so obviously I can't vouch for its efficacy. However, the ingredient list includes sorbitol, a sugar alcohol that is bad for dogs. It affects blood sugar for dogs and can cause sudden drops in blood sugar and liver problems. Just a heads up.

1.0 out of 5 stars Web description falls short, April 7, 2011
This review is from: Pet-Tabs Plus for Dogs, 365 Tablets (Kitchen)
ascorbic acid was listed in web description but it did not exist on the packaging label. i wouldn't feed these to my dog and they were for her....bait and switch. amazon should not carry this product.

obviously the "great" raters were not ready the labels but i am glad they got the results they were looking for in their pets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful dog vitamins!, September 26, 2010

I had recently purchased this Pet-Tab Plus vitamins and I have to say, after one week, I can see the difference in my dog. My 3 year old border collie mix had developed a massive allergic reaction to pollen that I have tried several rememedies for about 3 months. It was an on-and-off situation, with heavy dandruff, redness and imflamation, bad odor, and hair loss. After many attempts as searching for the right vitamin on my tight budget, I came across Pet-Tabs and their excellent reviews. And after just one week, my dog had never been better. No dandruff, no flaking, no inflamation, no more odor. All gone! I am impressed with the results and how quickly it had provided releif. I am very pleased and am a customer for life! I would recommend it to other pet owners with sensitive alergic dogs such as mine.

I love these vitamins because they are so easy to administer to the dogs. My dogs think this is a treat so they can't wait to get one. The price is great also, so you can't go wrong with this product. It's a win win situation for you and your dog. I will purchase this product again. Kay

We have been using Pet-Tabs + for many years and feel they do a fairly good job of keeping our German Shepherds (females) in good shape. Both of our dogs came to us as rescue dogs, one at one year old and the other at 10-1/2 years. They are now 5 and 13 years old and both are very lively for their ages. They do get other supplements and better quality dog food.
