5.0 out of 5 stars It works
Always a skeptic but willing to do no harm to help my elderly cat, I tried Pet Tinic on the recommendation of a friend. My 17 yr old cat lacked an appetite. She was loosing weight. She had tested normal but possibly early stage CFR. Wow! This suff really did work for her. After ten days she has gained weight , her coat is healthy and the vet is happy. I am happy. She does...

3.0 out of 5 stars Why is corn syrup the first ingredient?
I bought this product at a vet's office that a friend uses. I had previously purchased Hi-Vite drops from my vet for $10 for 1 fl. oz. dropper bottle. Since the vitamins seemed to be helping my dog, I was pleased to see this big 4 oz. bottle that looked very similar and was priced at $9.00. I didn't read the ingredient list until I had used it a few days, and corn syrup...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great supplement for my CRF kitty, July 4, 2007
This review is from: Pet-Tinic (4 oz) by Pfizer (Misc.)
My sick kitty has slowly gained over 2 pounds since giving him this daily supplement beginning in mid-January. He was already in early stage renal failure, then was poisoned by the toxic pet food which was recalled in early December and he went into final stage kidney failure. I nearly lost him in early January and my vet calls him a miracle cat. Pet-Tinic is worth its weight in gold to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have product for any sick kitty or puppy., September 26, 2007

My cat recently has gained back weight and energy after a near fatal case of Hemobartonellla, a blood parasite that causes extreme anemia. We had run so many tests and were almost ready to give up when I brought him to another vet who finally diagnosed him. The antibiotics are doing their thing, but pet-tinic worked wonders on his energy levels and nutrition. He has been playing with the other cats and eating bunches since he's been on this supplement. He's only been on it a couple of weeks and he's already showing improvement, something that usually takes a lot longer with Hemobartonella.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Iron Supplement for Senior Cats, February 24, 2009
This review is from: Pet-Tinic (4 oz) by Pfizer (Misc.)
My cat, who is btw 16 and 17 years of age, is functioning much better since regularly receiving Pet-Tinic in his food.

As a note, larger bottles do not have a dropper for application, so I saved a smaller bottle and have been refilling it. Using a teaspoon may cause overuse of product.

Product was prescribed by vet as a supplement for one of our cats. Seems to have helped, based on follow-up blood work ups. One manufacturing shortfall is that only the 1 oz. bottle has an eye dropper to dispense the product, whereas the 4 oz. does not. I was unable to find, anywhere, an eye dropper to fit the bigger bottle. The 1 oz. bottle is almost the same price as the 4oz. Solution? Buy the smaller bottle first. Save both the bottle and the eye dropper, and buy the larger bottle, saving a chunk of change, and use it to refill.

Just the ticket for our 3 cats, one who is going through chemo for lymphoma. We feed our cats whole foods and like this supplement for the taurine.

This product is amazing!! My 15 year old cat Tony has been in renal failure for quite awhile and was showing all the serious signs; losing weight and his appetite, becoming lethargic and becoming withdrawn. I started him on these vitamins and within a few days he was hungry, bright eyed, jumping on tables and telling me when it was time to eat. I am so thankful I found this.

After my cat had a stroke the vet prescribed Pet-tinic. I couldn't believe what a difference it made. He is now 18 years old and I've been using it every day for almost 2 years. He acts like a kitten again. At first I tried to spoon it into his mouth - good luck with that! Now I put it on his food, he likes the taste so he eats it right up.

My vet suggested this for my 14 yoa kitty with Chron's disease after he tested as anemic - he is still vomiting some but has normal poos! I don't think this cat has ever had a normal poo before in his life! The only down side is that he doesn't like taking it, but it may taste fine to other cats who are not as obstinate as he is . . .
