I purchased this product for my 13 year old daughter who already has a strong interest in becoming a vet. She absolutely loves the game along with her 7 year old sister and her 15 year old sister.

This game takes place on a wild animal refuge and the players assume the role of the pet vet. Kids learn about the problems that poachers cause as well as the common ailments these animals suffer from. The graphics are awesome and I love the voice of the girl who plays the pet vet. Sounds like a nice mid-western accent!

Okay, so I bought this game about two years ago. I tried it out, and hated it. The graphics were horrible, the vet glitched all the time, and the surgeries and operations weren't life-like. The graphics were supposed to be 3D and didn't even look like 3D. The tasks were boring and fun wasn't even a had-been. I totally did not like this game, and will never play it again in my life. Very boring game. Nothing ever happens. Playing with the animals in the enclousures and cages is boring. The surgeries are boring and so is walking around the property all day wondering what to do next. Don't buy this game, you will be greatly disapointed.

The game's box claims that it is compatible with Vista; however, when I tried to play it, there was one massive and annoying glitch: I can't see the mouse. I tried the game on an XP computer and it wouldn't even run. Maybe I got a defective disk, but it just doesn't work for me.
The premise of the game looks fun...but I can't play a game when I can't see the mouse.

We found this product to be user friendly but lacking in the audio and placement of the characters within the scenes.

Parent comment: Well she may be expressing enthusiasm toward this product, but she tends to gravitate to the 'Farm Vet'. Looking over her shoulder these 'Vet' games teach some pretty in-depth animal diseases. And the youngster has to diagnose then treat that particular condition/animal. Mind expanding!

I am a fan of Pet Vet 2 so I thought I would give this Pet Vet 3D wild animal hospital a try. Terrible! Nothing like the original! My 8 year old daughter even finds it boring! Keep looking is my advice.

This is a fairly fun game. It is a little hard for the younger ones to monuver around if they don't understand all the things needed to take care of the animals. Having an adult or older sibling is a good thing!! Thank you.

I have a Windows Vista Home Basic laptop, and there are some serious problems with the graphics. The vet walks very strangely, the game freezes up while she is doing certain things, the music is annoying, squeaky, and repetative, the camera controls are absolutely bogus, and worst of all- I can't even see the mouse! If you see this for free, don't get it even then- it messed up my computer, and now I keep getting The Blue Screen Of Death and I had to uninstall it. It was seriously disappointing. Of all the games I have (and I do have quite a few), this was the worst one ever. It is sickeningly easy, you only check over the animal for a few seconds before the diagnosis is grossly obvious, and you don't even treat the animal! I used my allowance on this and if you have any sense at all- DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!

My kid's PC is a 1Ghz P3, with 1Gig of RAM, and a 64MB Radeon 7000 video card. The game installs and runs, but it lags so badly that the Vet can't walk in a straight line.

I then installed it on my 2.8Ghz P4 Laptop, with 756Meg of Ram, and an onboard 64Mb Video card. Still bad.

I then installed it on my brand new $1500 Dell Latitude D620 which has played every game you can think of and it was better, but the Vet still doesn't walk in a straight line.

I sent Viva-Media a bug report, but all I got back was that my Vista laptop running Areo Glass did not meet their minimum system requirements???

Do yourself a favor and pass on this one.
