Excellent dog food. It is healthy, vegan, low-calorie and very easy to digest. It is a great dry food that I keep in the puppies' (a 16 y/o and a 6 y/o) bowls at all times. I give the babies mushy food (avoderm vegetarian in the the can) mixed with ground flax seed and veggies once a day.
The protein content on this food isn't high enough on it's own, so it is best to add a little extra protein to the food: peanut butter, flax seed, tofu, cooked whole grains, seitan, meat, eggs, ground nuts, etc. Just add about 1 tablespoon's worth once a day. I have been feeding the puppies this for years. |
