I have had my animals on Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance pet food for 3 years now. This is the kind of company I can trust. My 2 cats and 1 dog are my family and I want the best for them. I researched dog food a couple of years ago after my labrador, Vinny, was getting a rash on his feet. The pet dermatologist recommended Natural Balance Allergy Formula. I went to Petco (California) and I found out that Natural Balance makes cat food too both wet and dry and even had allergy formula treats for Vinny. Since we switched my animals are all healthy and Vinny's rash has been gone for over 2 and 1/2 years now. I would also like to say that I was recently concerned about this pet food recall so I went straight to the Natural Balances site and wrote them. Then responded in 24 hours saying they have never done business with Menu Foods nor will they. They gave me a phone number and address to call anytime if I had any questions plus they are sending coupons for their product. I printed out the ingredients of all their products (which is on their site) and I made a comparison when I was at the grocery store the other day and Natural Balance is by far superior to any brands I compared it with. It may cost a little more but to me the piece of mind is well worth the extra pennies. I want to deal with a responsible company that won't sell my animals short in order to make a few extra bucks. If you spend a little more now in the maintenance of your pet buying premium brands it will save in the long run with vet bills as you run the risk of health problems with inferior products. I would also point out that Dick Van Patten has eaten his own dog food right on television so to me he stands behind his product. Hope this was helpful.

This is an excellent dog food, reviewed by natural foods experts and rated highly. I buy it for my standard poodle, who has never had a health problem and I would like to continue it. She DID start scratching when I used a different "premium" dog food but stopped within a few days and has not started again.. High quality ingredients and you feed less of it. I highly recommend it.

Although this dog food is more expensive, it is worth it. After I started using it, my dog stopped the itching that started when we switched her to a DIFFERENT dog food (white bag with pictures of veggies on it).

Also, this dog food was not involved with the recent dog food recall. My pets are safe.

This has to be the preferable brand of dog food, and I'm sure your canine will love it. Its mixed with fresh chicken, fresh duck, lamb meal. All of this is destined to satisfy your dog and you'll be pleased with the outcome of your healthy canine. This dog food is conceived with many vitamins and proteins a dog needs to grow up with good health. If you buy Natural Balance, you won't be disappointed, and neither will your pet.

I trust this product and my dogs love it. I always add a slice of the food rolls, which they love even more. I have also used the Sweet Potato and Fish & The Potato and Duck Formula's as training treats. Since I feed them the Ultra Premium every day they think they are getting very little biscuits. Of course this saves some real money and they love them.

I switched my dogs over to this food a few months back and they absolutely love it. I sometimes buy a lamb roll from Natural Balance and cut up some pieces to add to the food and they eat so fast I have to take their bowls away temporarily to slow them down.

To the poster who said this food appeared on FDA recall list -- WRONG. Read the list, mam. This product is NOT on it. That's why the company hasn't responded to refunding your money. Natural Balance has two dry formulas on the list, but they are brown rice and venison mix, which is not this one.

Had to throw away as after I got and paid for it and the high shipping charge, it appreared on the dog food recall list. Sent e-mail to place purchased from but no response. So, 36 bucks went in trash!
