Product Description

PetAlive UTI-Free is a 100% natural, safe, effective homeopathic remedy to naturally treat the symptoms of UTI infections in pets, maintain urinary tract and bladder health, and prevent recurring infections.

Important Information

Ingredients
PetAlive UTI-Free contains the following 100% natural ingredients: Arctostaphylos uva ursi is a well known urinary antiseptic and excellent treatment for cystitis and all urinary tract problems. This herb contains the glycoside arbutin as the main active constituent. Hydroquinone derived from arbutin and methylarbutin is a powerful anti-bacterial agent and is thought to be responsible for uva ursi's ability to treat urinary tract infections. Berberis vulgaris: This widely studied herb contains berberine as a main constituent. Berberine is a recognized antibacterial agent and has been shown to kill amoebae in test tube studies. It also prevents bacteria from attaching to cell walls, reduces inflammation and strengthens immune functioning, thereby warding off infection and acting as a preventative as well as a natural antibiotic. Berberis also helps to treat the symptoms of diarrhea, especially if related to E.Coli infection. Cantharis C6 is prescribed homeopathically for a variety of conditions, including severe cystitis and the burning urine associated with bladder infections, as well as the inability to pass more than a few drops of urine at a time. Staphysagris C6 is a proven homeopathic remedy also recommended for urogenital problems such as cystitis, as well as urine retention sometimes associated with prostate problems. Lactose (inactive ingredient)

5.0 out of 5 stars Was skeptical at first, but it works, September 28, 2009
This review is from: PetAlive UTI-Free for Bladder Infections and UTI in Pets (Misc.)
A few months ago our Maine Coon started what we like to call the "litter box dance" where she would go in and out every few minutes, strain to urinate, and sometimes yowl in pain. When we noticed a bit of blood in her urine, we immediately took her to the vet who confirmed it was in fact a UTI. After multiple vet visits, two rounds of antibiotics, a breakout in hives, and $800 in bills she was UTI free. Unfortunately, the litter box dance started again a month later and this time I did NOT want to expose her to the additional stress of more tests and powerful antibiotics, so I went out on a limb and ordered UTI Free from PetAlive after reading the positive reviews. I admit I was skeptical but I researched the ingredients and they seem to be genuine homeopathic remedies. And they WORK. I keep our cat on a maintenance dose (once or twice per day) and increase (up to 6 per day) if she ever shows signs of the litter box dance. After just a few doses she is calmer, more playful, and is urinating more easily. In a few days, the UTI is gone and she's back to her normal cat self. I sprinkle the dose on a teaspoon of her favorite wet food and she doesn't even seem to notice it. UTI Free has improved the quality of our cat's life tremendously and I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easier Dosing Options!!, July 3, 2010
This review is from: PetAlive UTI-Free for Bladder Infections and UTI in Pets (Misc.)
I'll spare you the details since my kitty was enduring much the same "no-pee" "red-pee" issues as the rest in these reviews. Just wanted to provide a quick tip.

While no one actually mentions this on any of the websites, it is WORLDS easier to dose your kitties if you dissolve the required dosage in a bit of water first instead of trying to get them to keep the little pellets in their mouths. Plus, you don't have to feed them all the time (every 30 minutes? come on people... when your animals are in pain they aren't typically interested in eating - well not all of them anyway. Plus you run the risk of counterproductivity if you are feeding them food that has a high pH and you are contributing to potential weight gain issues).

Use about 1 tsp of water, mix in your pinch of UIT-Free (double the water and double the pinch for larger animals or use whatever dose is necessary), stir and allow to fully dissolve, suck up in syringe/dropper and dose kitty/puppy without hassle!!

Hope it helps!

5.0 out of 5 stars Miracle stuff!, January 14, 2008
Our 17 year old cat had been frequently urinating just outside of her box for many years. We're pretty sure she's diabetic (with kidney disease?) and suspected a UTI (the vet's secretary thought it was painful for her to 'go' and therefore associated the box with pain).

I wasn't in favor of antibiotics and didn't want to go to the vet which would be costly, no doubt---leading to dialysis, etc. This stuff was amazing. We purchased only 1 bottle and it seemed to take care of it, however I'm pregnant and my husband isn't diligent enough with the box so she has resorted to her old ways.

It seemed to clear up the UTI but I wonder if we have to keep her on this stuff for the rest of her life? Perhaps another course of it after the baby is born will do the trick? I went ahead and purchased 2 more (+ 1 free). Fingers are crossed . . . cat seems spunkier than I've seen in a long time!
