I'll spare you the details since my kitty was enduring much the same "no-pee" "red-pee" issues as the rest in these reviews. Just wanted to provide a quick tip.

While no one actually mentions this on any of the websites, it is WORLDS easier to dose your kitties if you dissolve the required dosage in a bit of water first instead of trying to get them to keep the little pellets in their mouths. Plus, you don't have to feed them all the time (every 30 minutes? come on people... when your animals are in pain they aren't typically interested in eating - well not all of them anyway. Plus you run the risk of counterproductivity if you are feeding them food that has a high pH and you are contributing to potential weight gain issues).

Use about 1 tsp of water, mix in your pinch of UIT-Free (double the water and double the pinch for larger animals or use whatever dose is necessary), stir and allow to fully dissolve, suck up in syringe/dropper and dose kitty/puppy without hassle!!

Hope it helps!

A few months ago our Maine Coon started what we like to call the "litter box dance" where she would go in and out every few minutes, strain to urinate, and sometimes yowl in pain. When we noticed a bit of blood in her urine, we immediately took her to the vet who confirmed it was in fact a UTI. After multiple vet visits, two rounds of antibiotics, a breakout in hives, and $800 in bills she was UTI free. Unfortunately, the litter box dance started again a month later and this time I did NOT want to expose her to the additional stress of more tests and powerful antibiotics, so I went out on a limb and ordered UTI Free from PetAlive after reading the positive reviews. I admit I was skeptical but I researched the ingredients and they seem to be genuine homeopathic remedies. And they WORK. I keep our cat on a maintenance dose (once or twice per day) and increase (up to 6 per day) if she ever shows signs of the litter box dance. After just a few doses she is calmer, more playful, and is urinating more easily. In a few days, the UTI is gone and she's back to her normal cat self. I sprinkle the dose on a teaspoon of her favorite wet food and she doesn't even seem to notice it. UTI Free has improved the quality of our cat's life tremendously and I highly recommend it.

Went through one round of nasty antibiotics for my cat Sebastian's nasty UTI (complete with crystal blockages) and several overnight stays at the vet's office. The antibiotics made him sick to his stomach, and when the ten days were up he was still very lethargic and still occasionally missing the box. The next step was either surgery (and you know how that is, we couldn't afford it), or another round of antibiotics (which I knew was making his stomach turn).

Sebastian is only four years old, and I didn't want to make that one decision that every pet-owner dreads, but I could't let him go on suffering either. Out of desperation, and fear of loosing my beloved kitty, I began searching for another option. I stumbled upon this product and decided to give it a try. It was a $30 vs. $3500 situation. I clicked the order button.

It's been a week now and my chatty, tail-swaying cat is back! He's using his litter box and never misses mealtime. I hate to sound dramatic and say "This product saved my kitty's life!"...but when it all boils down, that's about what happened. =)

As always, please, PLEASE go the the vet first to rule out anything very serious before trying this (Sebastian was already experiencing diminished kidney function by the time I got him to the vet). Once you've ruled out any serious medical condition, I highly recommend this product!!

I have a 13yr old tiger stripe that has had a nasty UTI. He's had it for over 2 months, and has just come off an ineffective antibiotic/painkiller regiment. As a last ditch effort I tried the NaturVet Cranberry extract to help with his UTI. When that didn't seem to phase it either I looked up anything else I could try before another $200 set of antibiotics that might not work. I figured if the UTI-Free might work, I could keep giving him the maintenance dosage of the cranberry extract to keep the UTI from coming back.

The UTI-Free is impossible to give to my cat like they recommend. The only way to give it was to mix it in with some canned cat food. I gave him a little more than the instructions stated since he didn't seem to care for the taste, and wouldn't eat the food in one sitting and would spread it out. Within 3 days he was able to urinate without crying out, and now after a week, he has normal flow. Although I've gone through the bottle at a faster rate than I'd like because he won't take it without mixing it, I am pleased that it's helped him.

I gave the product 4 stars because of the price. The maintenance dose for UTI-FREE is still twice a day and for someone on a fixed income like myself, $30 for such little product to give twice a day for maintenance is way to much for me. It did clear up my cat's UTI, but I'll have to stick with the Cranberry extract for the maintenance and hope that fends off a return like everyone seems to tell me it will.(Although it didn't put a dent in the actual UTI) Only time will tell. As for UTI-FREE, if my cat gets another infection I will try this stuff again before I try the vet, as in this case it cost me $200 and it didn't help him this time. If your cat has trouble urinating AND THERE IS BLOOD, TAKE THEM TO THE VET.
