I have a 13yr old tiger stripe that has had a nasty UTI. He's had it for over 2 months, and has just come off an ineffective antibiotic/painkiller regiment. As a last ditch effort I tried the NaturVet Cranberry extract to help with his UTI. When that didn't seem to phase it either I looked up anything else I could try before another $200 set of antibiotics that might not work. I figured if the UTI-Free might work, I could keep giving him the maintenance dosage of the cranberry extract to keep the UTI from coming back.

The UTI-Free is impossible to give to my cat like they recommend.The only way to give it was to mix it in with some canned cat food. I gave him a little more than the instructions stated since he didn't seem to care for the taste, and wouldn't eat the food in one sitting and would spread it out. Within 3 days he was able to urinate without crying out, and now after a week, he has normal flow. Although I've gone through the bottle at a faster rate than I'd like because he won't take it without mixing it, I am pleased that it's helped him.

I gave the product 4 stars because of the price. The maintenance dose for UTI-FREE is still twice a day and for someone on a fixed income like myself, $30 for such little product to give twice a day for maintenance is way to much for me. It did clear up my cat's UTI, but I'll have to stick with the Cranberry extract for the maintenance and hope that fends off a return like everyone seems to tell me it will.(Although it didn't put a dent in the actual UTI) Only time will tell. As for UTI-FREE, if my cat gets another infection I will try this stuff again before I try the vet, as in this case it cost me $200 and it didn't help him this time. If your cat has trouble urinating AND THERE IS BLOOD, TAKE THEM TO THE VET. Stones or crystal build up can and will kill a cat. If it's just a UTI it's up to you to decide if you want to try the herbal remedy first, just like people, it may or may not be effective for you pet. If you do use it, I hope it works for you.

Bought this product after doing research on the internet for UTI in male cats. My cat Mickey got sick and after spending four days in the hospital and much money later he came home still feeling uncomfortable and with a 15% chance of getting re-infected. So I bought this product, followed instructions, and within 24 hours, no more discomfort. Now I give him a small amount every other day. It's a little challenging to give since the product is little tiny white granules. But I put a little on a small spoon, wrestle Mickey and pop open his mouth, pour in the granules. They melt right away and have no taste. He's used to taking it now. I recommend this very much. I also recommend a little, very small amount of Concentrated Cranberry Juice mixed into there wet food. You can buy it at healthfood stores. Just alittle for a couple of days helps clear it up too. Just like in people. But like everything before you act, do your homework first, consult your vet just incase.

I've been having quite a time with recurring UTI's with my mini rat terrier. poor fella has had 3 over the course of a year. Truly astronomical vet bills, stained carpets and I know the little guy must be hurting pretty bad. Then I found UTI-Free by PetAlive. I ordered a bottle and set-up for the recurring delivery to save money. I figure if the stuff works, it's well worth the money spent. Note: we also changed his food to a brand that has no corn in it which was a recommendation to us by a dog trainer we used. We also started adding about a few tablespoons of warm water to the kibble to make a gravy. Don't know if any of this has helped too. We sprinkle a little bit of the UTI-Free on his food each day and have not had a UTI recurrence yet. Plus the 1st bottle lasted 2 months, so we slowed delivery down from 1 to 2 months. I highly reommend after 2 month's daily use.

My 9-year-old male cat has had urinary tract crystals 4 times in his life, and each time I've had to spend $600 on vet visits and almost had to put him down when I couldn't afford another visit. If it is an emergency and your cat has an enlarged bladder, BRING THEM TO THE VET! Urinary issues turn serious VERY QUICKLY...there is often no time to spare. Learn the symptoms and decide what the best thing is for your buddy.

Our cat had crystals...very expensive especially the 2nd time around. We found and tried this product after reading many positive reviews. We mix it in with his food and he eats it up. It only seemed to be a day or two and he seemed to be his old self. We have also taken him off the dry food and buy special wet cat food but we will keep using this product also as it really seems to make a positive difference.

After being rushed to the hospital, my male cat was diagnosed with struvite blockage(no bacteria). He was put on antibiotics as a precaution, which he always vomits. And he hated the Hill's SD that the vet insisted he take exclusively. So when the problem re-occured,I tried Uti-Free out of desperation. I followed the instructions,mixing in the sprinkles with his canned food. The first day, I sprinkled a little on his tongue followed by water from a dropper in between doses to expedite recovery. It appeared to relieve his pain and urgency that same day and improved completely within a few days. The prescription diets do nothing to resolve the longterm problem and have unhealthy ingredients. My cat has been fine since eliminating dry food and feeding him grain-free canned food. However,I still use this product for maintenance since stress is also said to cause crystals.

My cat was exhibiting early signs of an UTI (he's had a couple and since I caught it early on this time, I really wanted a pricey vet visit to be the last resort), so I figured I'd give this a try. I spent almost as much money rush shipping it to my house as I did on the product itself, but it was completely worth it because he was peeing normally by the next day. I gave him a dose every day in his wet food (really, it's the easiest way to administer the dosage) to make sure the UTI was completely cleared up.

I give this to him every couple of days in his food to maintain a healthy urinary tract. He loves the fact that he gets wet food more often and I love the fact that I don't have to see him in pain or hear him howl on the way to the vet.

My cat got his third UTI in 3 months. I had already spent hundreds of dollars taking him to the vet and really could not keep spending this kind of money. My cat is a feline, adopted from SPCA nearly 20 years ago. Yes, she is very old

for a cat, going on 19 in February 2012. She has always been an indoor kitty and

has always been healthy. Possibly due to her age, she showed all the sypmtons of

a uniary track infection. The reviews for UTI=free were all positive. The only and easiest way to give her this medicine was to sprinkle a little in her food and

cover it with a little more food. (can food, no dry). I approximately 2 days,

she showed signs of improvement and ceased to drip and try to urinate outside her litter box. I am continuing to sprinkle a little UTI-free in her breakfast until

it is gone. The medicine is "pricey" but it is worth it, because it worked. I purchased from Amazon.com because they had the best price and quickest delivery time.

PetAlive UTI-free has given my cat a 10th life, She is a pleasure to know.

When her time comes, I will truly miss her.
