Beware: the album is Copy Controlled (copy protect). It won't play correctly in my car or in my house........very frustrating. That means I can't make a fair use copy onto my MP3 player to listen to while I work out. Peter Cox is wonderful---the media they've put this on is awful.

I had always been a fan of Go West because of Peter Cox's voice, so imagine my delight when I found out he had come out with a solo release. I received the cd in the mail & was very impressed. My favorite cuts are I'll Be Good to You, Tender Heart & Enemy. Ain't Gonna Cry Again sounds full of anger, especially the line: "Take your heart (?) & go to hell" (whew!) They Whisper to Me is hauntingly beautiful. Just My Imagination is a very good remake. I cannot understand why he has not received more airplay here in the U.S; American radio...I just don't understand. Peter Cox has one of the best voices I have every heard; his singing is warm, emotional, powerful, tender, passionate, & sincere and....oh yes...sexy !(Well, for me anyway :-)) I personally give this cd five stars. I have enjoyed his singing since Go West & it just gets better.

I was happily surprised to discover that Peter Cox had released a solo album. I don't think there is anything this man could sing that I wouldn't like. Love the album, love Peter Cox. I also heard Go West is touring in England, hope they make it over here. Here's hoping they release a new album together.

Peter Cox was the heart and soul behind Go West, his former musical group. The King of Wishful Thinking was just dynamite! Then Peter Cox disappeared for a while. Go West had broken up and Cox was ostensibly going it on his own.

For those of us who had been big fans of Go West, we were eager for Cox to deliver on his promise. With Peter Cox, the album, he has. I don't know that Cox will find my next statement to be complimentary, but it is intended to be that way: Cox delivers an album in sound and soul not too different from some of the best numbers produced by Go West.

I don't know what the reasoning was behind the breakup of Go West, but I was sorry to hear it come about. I always thought they did some of the most unique music of the 80's because it wasn't typical. It was soulful and catchy.

Thankfully, Cox delivers on those same points. Believe is an awesome song. It's just one of many. Yes, they sound similar, but then that's why you buy the album - to hear Cox's deep, rich, full baritone voice.

If you are like me, you'll love this album.

Go West are currently touring the world. I suggest you snap up a copy of this album to feast your ears on a truly great vocalist. This guy oozes class and stlye on every track.
The best tracks are - If You Walk Away, Tender Heart, Ain't Gonna Cry Again, Wanting You and Better World.
With all the hype seemingly on grunge, gangsta crap (where is it these guys are supposed to be getting the money from for all the hot cars, chicks and gold jewellery featured in the film clips hmmmm?) or dance music aka one to five singers with back up dancers (god help us all), Peter Cox is a refreshing change.

Peter Cox the lead singer of Go West has a new cd out with the other half of GW Richard Drummie. It's Go West's first new album in many years. It's well worth the wait. Search FUTURE NOW by Go West.

If you're a fan of Go West then you're gonna want this one. The lead singer of Go West shows his chops in his first solo album. It doesn't take much time before you're humming the melodies to the songs. Not much longer for the lyrics either. It's probably my favorite disc that I've picked up in probably a couple of years. Try not to get too hooked on the first song or you'll never give the rest of the album much chance! I found this out the hard way. As catchy a "pop" song's melody as any. Pick this one up!

I've had this CD for a couple of years now, and it just grows on me more and more as time goes on. Many of the songs are very uplifting to listen to; the trio of Move On Up, Closer and Parade never fail to leave me feeling happy (especially Closer - I swear you can hear him laughing while he's singing!) The outstanding song for me is They Whisper To Me, a gorgeous, haunting song I never tire of listening to.

Anyone who likes Peter's voice might like to know he has another solo album, Desert Blooms. I don't know why it isn't available on Amazon.com, but it can be ordered from Amazon.co.uk. Well worth the shipping costs!
