Cathy Rigby IS Peter Pan,

Cathy Rigby's voice is amazing. It flows so easily. You can picture the characters in your head as you listen to the music. Such classic songs as "I Won't Grow Up" and "Ugg-a-Wug" are captivating. Hook is extremely funny with his accents and his character developement. This is a MUST-HAVE!

Love Peter Pan!,

Ever since I was really little I have always loved Peter Pan! Then I learned there were more versions than just the Disney Version! I found this one and fell in love with it. The CD really captures the songs and the energy that the movie projected! I am now trying to find a copy of the movie so i can enjoy it again. I am only seventeen but wish that I could go off to neverland and join peter pan and the lost boys in thier adventures.

The Best recording of Peter Pan,
By A Customer
This review is from: Peter Pan (2000 Television Soundtrack) (Audio CD)
I used to love the old recording of Peter Pan with Mary Martin, but this new version with the wonderful Cathy Rigby has now replaced it in my affection of Peter Pan. Everything about this new recording is better, the sound, the performance, the energy and the wonderful songs. Against this 5 stars recording, I would now rate the old Mary Martin recording 3 stars.

I just recently saw Cathy Rigby in NYC at MSG, (Madison Square Garden) just right before Christmas, she did great as always. Cathy sounded the way she always has and will. This soundtrack has all the same songs with in her last tour. I happened to like this version better then Marry Martains because it just brings out the story better and you can see the stage light up in your mind so well, that it just brings back childhood memories for adults and kids. I also met Cathy Rigby, when I was little, and I met her again for a second last time at MSG. she still looks great for her age. As long as you have this CD, you will be able to go back to NeverLand anytime you want. This is her final year for good. Then she will retire and hang up her tights for her last curtain call. I just hope she finds the right person to continue her Peter Pan legacy. Maybe a boy's voice as peter pan would maybe be in the making for a new soundtrack , thats if it ever happens lol... So don't pass this by because Cathy Rigby will let your heart fly. As you listen to this Magical Soundtrack you will want to soar into the night sky. This is the best since Peter Pan begain at the Winter Garden theartre. Now that the tour is almost over, get this now before its gone!... Good luck to the rest of the Peter Pan Gang, on a job well done, Steve...

Rigby Really Flies!,
By catthomas "catthomas" (Knoxville, Tn) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Peter Pan (2000 Television Soundtrack) (Audio CD)
As a young child, I remember being fascinated by Mary Martin's Peter Pan when it was shown on television. However, when I excitedly bought the video version, I was disappointed. The sets were medicore, and Mary Martin looked too old to play the part of the fetching Peter Pan. Even worse, I could see the wires when they flew!Ah, not so with this version. When I saw Cathy Rigby on stage in 1995, I was just as enchanted as I was years ago. Her voice was incredible, the staging was creative, and Captain Hook was a vigorous villian (not a foppy foil like Cyril Richards). Likewise, this is the only version of Peter Pan that should be in your CD collection. Cathy Rigby's voice is more fuller than Mary Martin's, and Paul Schoeeler's near operatic voice never loses the humor behind his lyrics. Neverland never sounded so good!

I grew up watching Mary Martin play Peter Pan, and was quite used to it by the time I was 14. Then, I saw Cathy Rigby in "Peter Pan" on A&E one night (my mom made us watch!). It was a breathtaking expreiance for me. I started watching the DVD of the production over and over, until I fell absolutly in love with Peter, Wendy, Captain Hook, Tiger Lily and the others. In 2004, my mom took me and my sister to see Cathy Rigby's final tour in Los Angeles on closing night. We bought the soundtrack to the 1997 soundtrack then. I have listened to it many times, and I still love it. Now, the 2000 version is out and I have listened to that as well. I never get old of listening to Cathy Rigby, and Elisa Sagardia's voices. I highly reccomend this soundtrack to any Peter Pan fan!!

SCARY,

I SAW THIS MOVIE 'CAUSE I WAS INTERESTED TO SEE CATHY RIGBY, "WHO WAS BORN TO PLAY PETER PAN". I HATED IT A LOT. SO, NOW I AM IN A HIGH SCHOOL PRODUCTION OF PETER PAN, AND I HAPPEND TO SEE THE MARY MARTIN VERSION, AND THE MARY MARTAIN CD. I LOVED IT! THEN I REALIZED THAT 'PETER PAN' IS NOT A BAD MUSICAL AT ALL. CATHY RIGBY AND THE "CREW" WERE MAKING IT BAD. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY THINK CATHY RIGBY IS THE GREATEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD. DON'T BELIEVE THEM. SHE ISN'T. SHE SOUNDED LIKE SHE WAS A STUIPED LITTLE BRAT THAT JUST WANTED TO ROT THE REST OF HIS [HER] TIME JUST SITTING IN A DARK CORNER CARVING FORKS WHILE ON THE OTHER HAND, MARY MARTAIN SOUNDS ALL CHEERFUL, FUN, AND REAL. I RECCOMEND MARY MARTAIN'S VIDEO AND CD. I SAY NO MORE.
